The role was offered so quickly and there was such a time restraint that Sarah Jessica Parker barely had time to process the script in her head before she said yes!
Either way, everyone is glad she was able to step in — and if she had had more time to think about it, she says she probably would have turned it down!

The Great White Way will be making way for a not-so-white wedding as a new musical based on the 1992 Honeymoon In Vegas is on the way. SJP was spotted on set suited as the legendary feminist icon and she's look good! She definitely has the right wig on, that's for sure!

This morning, it was reported that due to Demi Moore's current stint in rehab, Mary Louise Parker would be taking over her role as Gloria Steinem in the Lovelace biopic. However, we've just received official word from the studio that it will actually be Sarah Jessica Parker who will be filling the feminist icon's shoes in the flick!
While we're bummed for Mary, we can't help but wonder…
Will Sarah have any scenes with Chris Noth?! Carrie & Mr. Big together again?! Nice!

Many, many, many moons ago, Sex & The City was just a pilot HBO was pushing around town, desperate to get people attached. While on Howard Stern's radio show this morning, Sandra Bernhard revealed that she was initially offered the role of Miranda back in the day, but turned it down.
Before you go off and judge her, you should hear her out. Apparently, not only was she offered a pittance (okay, a Hollywood pittance), but in her opinion, the script wasn't very good — Sarah Jessica Parker is a pain in the ass!

At least, we think it is! Almost positive, actually!
Angelina Jolie was at the Berlin International Film Festival today, where she is screening her directorial debut, In The Land Of Blood and Honey out of competition, when she announced that the long-rumored project was next up for her - even though she didn't specifically call it by name!
She explains:
"I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this . The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie. The best thing to find that balance is to do something that is just for children. You know, you find different ways to make things matter. When, for example, you do fun action movies, they are empowering for my daughters."
And since we've gotten word that the Luc Besson movie she had been eyeing seems to have stalled, and Maleficent recently got Robert Stromberg as a director, we think it's safe to say that the Linda Woolverton-written adaptation of the classic fairy tale is definitely where we'll see her next!
So, so cool!
