It's pretty noteworthy because it's Berkus' first (or one of his first) gay media interviews, if you don't count his interview with Oprah. We kid. We kid.

he's been out for a while. His boyfriend was killed in the tsunami a few years ago and he did interviews about it.
Nate is great - he did a lot to raise awareness for the asian tsunami (he was caught in it in thailand). I love him!

well it took him damn well long enough. anyone who watches oprah prob already picked up on his undercover gay speech. like when he says "partner" we dont know what he means. His boyfriend was killed in the tsunami, but he never just said "my boyfriend" died like most of us would do.
