Despite lackluster ratings, CBS is sticking behind their evening news host, Katie Couric.
"She has a five-year contract with CBS to anchor the evening news," CBS News President Sean McManus said on Thursday. "All of us, including Katie, expect her to be anchoring the evening news in her fifth year."
It's probably cheaper keeping her than paying out her contract.
Unless she continues to destroy their ratings even more!

As I read some comments, I can't figure out why there's any hatefulness towards Katie. Those commentators need some serious couch help.
For those who feel Katie's true talent lies with interviewing, I'm with you. I would love to see CBS's 60 Minutes inherit Katie full-time.
And CBS News and Katie, please don't look at the change as failure. Katie's the right person but in the wrong job.

I hate Katie Couric. I think she is a horrible journalist. Perez, hook the g-ugly bitch up with some journalism lessons. I started hating her after the 9/11 attacks. She tried to be this hard hitting reporter and ask tough questions, when she should have been letting people cope- she's just dumb!!!
