My Dear Friends,
It has been such a long time since I've written and I am so sorry for the long delay. I have been in bed for almost a year now. I have times when I feel good and times when I feel really bad. But, I have learned one thing about feelings. They have NOTHING TO DO WITH FAITH IN GOD!! He is the SAME yesterday, today and forever. He NEVER changes. That is what the Bible says and God's word does not lie EVER!
There have been many days when I felt so terrible with my back and stomach, that I have hardly been able to breath. I cry out to the Lord knowing that many of you are praying for me. In spite of it all, I get dressed and go out to eat. I may only be able to eat one bite, or sometimes ten bites, but I swallow each bite in "faith believing". There are MANY times it doesn't stay with me long at all, but I keep trying and HE helps me.
My daughter is here a lot of the times to give me my medications and to make sure I don't forget. When I got sick, she literally moved in and gave me hugs and kisses that are so needful during this period of ones life. She said, "I want to take care of my Mom". I gave her the last couple weeks off to go home and spend time with her children, James and John. They are well taken care of while Sissy is gone. My girlfriend, Deborah has been staying with me for the past 3 weeks. We have been friends for thirty years, so we know each other well! She gave Tammy Sue some much needed rest and she has taken up where Sissy left off. She will be here for two more weeks. How grateful I am to have such strong, loving, support around me. Then of course, there is my wonderful husband! We moved from Charlotte, N.C. to Kansas City, Missouri. He came here every weekend to build me a new house and when I got here, it was ready to move into, bed and all!! They had it beautiful and it is the most beautiful home I have ever seen. He has wanted to build me a house for 13 years, and I finally let him! His children and grandchildren have come every weekend to visit us, and it is so much fun! Someone I cannot forget is a friend named Daina. She worked so hard, I thought she was going to get sick. Bless her heart. I have to have help eating, bathing, doing my hair, taking my medicine, and help just getting comfortable, which is really hard for me to do.
I try really hard to eat and keep the food down, but sometimes, it is like my throat would just shut down on me, and the food comes right back up. So through all the prayers, I have finally gained some weight. I have gone from 60 pounds, to 65, for which I am very thankful.
I ask in great humbleness that you pray that I will be able to eat without it coming back up. I crave hamburgers and french fries with LOTS of ketchup! When I can eat that again, it will be a day of victory!
In closing, I want you to know that I am praying for you and your loved ones and I am believing God for complete healing. God is a healer of EVERYTHING!
I will let you know when I get to eat my hamburger! HA!

Cancer is a horrible thing to have to watch a loved on struggle with. Stay strong, Tammy Faye and know that there is much prayer going up for you.
What a strong woman, she made me cry!! She was such a sweetheart when she did the season of "The Surreal Life". She is a very religious woman and whatever happens to her she will sure be in heaven with God. People can learn from this woman, she is putting her life in God's hands and that is the way it should be!!
um, #8 if you understand anything about her or christianity in general she has begged time and again for forgiveness on that matter. SHe has moved on with her life and done great things for many people and NO ONE and I mean NO ONE deserves what she is going through - we've all sinned but chances are you will never have to experience the agony she lives with each second of every day. So,#8, while you're sitting at home on your fat ass typing on your computer think what its like to want nothing more than to eat a bite of food without getting sick, what its like to feel constant pain, what its like to not be able to get out of bed for a year. Maybe then you'll be more forgiving. After all, its the Christian thing to do.

Not really a big fan of Tammy but I wouldnt wish this on anyone. I hope she stays strong and receives the miracle she is praying for. The woman has been thru a lot and yet still manages to smile, now that is faith. God bless you Tammy and get well.
when i saw tammy faye on the surreal life, i thought, wow, here is a true christian. she never judged anyone and accepted everyone for who they were and loved them in spite of the things they did that went against christianity. she is a sweet soul. i hope she pulls through.

I met Tammy Faye several years ago and found her to be a very sweet, loving woman. She has held on to her faith and showed her love to every person….no matter what their background, religious affiliation, or sexual orientation. If more Christians were like Tammy Faye , I truly believe more people would turn to the faith because they would see what true love is all about.
Wow. So sad. I know that when your loved one is fighting this disease, you almost feel like wishing the cure would come tomorrow or soon before the person dies. I'm sure this story is very touchy to people going through the battle with cancer either themselves or a member of their family and friends. It's probably gory to say, but it's just a matter of time. =(

I'M 29 NOW AND FEEL SO BLESSED AND THANK MY LUCKY STARS TO BE ALIVE TODAY. CANCER IS A SCARY THING AND ANYONE THAT MAKES FUN OF IT WON'T BE LAUGHING WHEN IT HAPPENS TO THEM OR A LOVED ONE. My christian friend, please do not get agressive with the athiest. This is why many of athiest people I have known do not like christians - because they dont respect athiest believes. If her family does not believe in hell or god, that is good for them. They will go to a good place where they do believe in and continue to be happy.

Tammy has stayed true to herself for all these many years. I'm Catholic and don't follow other religions but when I saw Tammy singing and praising the Lord back when she was with Jim she spoke (sang) to my heart and I couldn't help but tune in to listen to her testify. She has my respect and my prayers.

I am not a Christian, but this woman is what I believe a true Christian should be–a truly non judgmental forgiving person. And a true Christian does indeed acccept gay and lesbian people, all people.
