My Dear Friends,
It has been such a long time since I've written and I am so sorry for the long delay. I have been in bed for almost a year now. I have times when I feel good and times when I feel really bad. But, I have learned one thing about feelings. They have NOTHING TO DO WITH FAITH IN GOD!! He is the SAME yesterday, today and forever. He NEVER changes. That is what the Bible says and God's word does not lie EVER!
There have been many days when I felt so terrible with my back and stomach, that I have hardly been able to breath. I cry out to the Lord knowing that many of you are praying for me. In spite of it all, I get dressed and go out to eat. I may only be able to eat one bite, or sometimes ten bites, but I swallow each bite in "faith believing". There are MANY times it doesn't stay with me long at all, but I keep trying and HE helps me.
My daughter is here a lot of the times to give me my medications and to make sure I don't forget. When I got sick, she literally moved in and gave me hugs and kisses that are so needful during this period of ones life. She said, "I want to take care of my Mom". I gave her the last couple weeks off to go home and spend time with her children, James and John. They are well taken care of while Sissy is gone. My girlfriend, Deborah has been staying with me for the past 3 weeks. We have been friends for thirty years, so we know each other well! She gave Tammy Sue some much needed rest and she has taken up where Sissy left off. She will be here for two more weeks. How grateful I am to have such strong, loving, support around me. Then of course, there is my wonderful husband! We moved from Charlotte, N.C. to Kansas City, Missouri. He came here every weekend to build me a new house and when I got here, it was ready to move into, bed and all!! They had it beautiful and it is the most beautiful home I have ever seen. He has wanted to build me a house for 13 years, and I finally let him! His children and grandchildren have come every weekend to visit us, and it is so much fun! Someone I cannot forget is a friend named Daina. She worked so hard, I thought she was going to get sick. Bless her heart. I have to have help eating, bathing, doing my hair, taking my medicine, and help just getting comfortable, which is really hard for me to do.
I try really hard to eat and keep the food down, but sometimes, it is like my throat would just shut down on me, and the food comes right back up. So through all the prayers, I have finally gained some weight. I have gone from 60 pounds, to 65, for which I am very thankful.
I ask in great humbleness that you pray that I will be able to eat without it coming back up. I crave hamburgers and french fries with LOTS of ketchup! When I can eat that again, it will be a day of victory!
In closing, I want you to know that I am praying for you and your loved ones and I am believing God for complete healing. God is a healer of EVERYTHING!
I will let you know when I get to eat my hamburger! HA!

I think it's sad that people need to bash each other's religions/beliefs. I think it's just plain mean that people are on here laughing at Christians for believing in G-d. Likewise, I think it's mean when Christians put down Athiests. All religions/belief-systems have people that do it. But it's not right. So I think everyone should just stop doing that. I'm not making fun of your religion/beliefs, don't make fun of mine.

May god bless her…I watched my grandmother slowly deteriorate from cancer and she passed away last year….it was so hard to watch…I hope Tammy Lynn's family is making her as comfortable as they can right now and hopefully she will experience a miracle

Ironic that by choosing to accept and love rather than to hate, she was outcast by many of her former religious associates.
God bless you Tammy and your wonderful spirit. Here is a woman who has truly showed what it means to have faith. To all of you who want to bad mouth her and scream "There is no God"…go to another page…we don't want your hate here. If you can't support such an amazing woman, then keep your mouth shut!

Tammy Faye has certainly not always done the right thing in her life (but WHO THE HELL HAS??) - but at least she is woman enough to say "Yeah, I fucked up, who cares? I learned from it…"

In the last four years I have become a Tammy Faye fan. I am so awed by her faith and by her attitude during this fight. You go, Tammy-Girl, my prayers are with you. What a role model!
I fell in love with Tammy when I watched her on The Surreal Life, as did her cast mates. She is a lovely person and it breaks my heart that she is going through this.
Yeah no one deserves this.But considering she stole peoples money from churches..its a little screwed up. God will choose her ending.

Dear Tammy: There have been lots of cancer survivors with proper treatment, faith of which u have, and attitude. Also, remember, from God we came and to Him we shall return and only He knows when. I don't know at what stage ur cancer is, but God willing, you will come out of it. You are in our prayers.

Having a grandfather that recently died of pancreatic cancer, I can see that Tammy Fay is near the end. However, like my grandfather, she seems to be keeping up her spirit and attempting to keep her appetite. It is really hard to watch someone waste away but it is a blessing to know that they get to spend their last days with friends and family. I wish her and her family well and positive attitude is inspirational.
I don't know what this women did for so many people to hate her but it truly doesn't matter. she is a dying women. get real you rude ass people. It's your job to pray for her and feel compassion for her, not to judge her.

Every time I see a post about Tammy, I think of when Catherine O'Hara imitated her in an SCTV sketch, bawling and applying coat after coat of mascara at the same time, lol. She'll be one of the few people I'll be genuinely sorry to see go when her time comes.

Believe what you want, but don't criticize or make fun of religion, its a freedom of choice, one of the few freedoms that we still have. This is no place to curse and use foul language and disrespect ANY form of religion. This was a place for comments about Tammy Faye who is dying, if you can't say something nice, then just go somewhere else. Some of you have been so critical on here, its really sad. Sounds like you have issues of your own that you can't seem to get a grip on, so it makes you feel better to lash out. Maybe you SHOULD go to church, might do you some good… I don't agree with what PTL did, but we all make mistakes. Tammy, you are a very strong and courageous woman. I am glad that you are not letting this condition rule your life. Your faith and trust in God's word is what is important. You are succeeding every day that you try again; your humility, and grace always shine through to me and the world.

What an amazing woman of God. She is so accepting of everyone and doesn't judge. Even though she has made mistakes in her life, hasn't she loved everyone she has met with all of her heart? God answers prayers in differant ways…he has a purpose for her illness and she knows that. So when you ask why her God doesn't just perform a miracle, how do you know he hasn't? She has touched so many people through her illness and kindness. I wish her all the best and pray that God will give her comfort.
