Dave Chappelle may not be well again. PerezHilton.com reader Erin was listening to the "Elliot in the Morning" show on DC 101 in our nation's capital today and they took some phone calls about funny man Dave Chapelle.
Apparently he was in Prince William County hospital in the area some time this past weekend.
The first call came from a drunk who was also there and reported seeing him. The second call came from a cop who said he was in the hospital, had escaped, and then been picked back up by the police. The 3rd call said he had been there under another name, but that they weren't sure if he was still there.
This all sounds far too crazy to be true. Which means it must be true!
Right?

Elliot sucks. Neither talented nor funny, really painful to listen to. There's some cunt sidekick who just laughs at everything he says and has no mind of her own. The people who call into his show even more so and will say anything for a crappy t-shirt. There, that's really all you need to know about his shitty show, I just summed up what happens on it every single awful boring morning.

I live near DC, and I frequently listen to DC 101/Elliot in the Morning, and I believe that during the summer, they only play the "best of…" Elliot, meaning that they just rerun old shows that have been previously aired. So, this whole Dave Chappelle story might be history from back when he decided to leave Comedy Central and travel to Africa.

The EITM show this morning was live (reruns aired last week for "summer break"). Heard from a friend that Dave was taken to PWC Hospital because he was exhibiting paranoid behaviors. He later escaped from the hospital and the police were notified to find and detain him. He then went to lock up where he reportedly accused everyone of being actors–he thought he was being filmed for a reality show and that everyone was conspiring against him.
This isn't be the first time the little guy has lost his marbles…

I think he suffers from schizophrenia. I have a family member who suffers from it and during Oprah's interview with Dave he said so many things that sounded so familiar. Hearing this and reading "the Chappelle Theory" just reaffirmed my thoughts. It's really sad because he is such a great comedian.

From DC, lived in VA. Now living in OH. Dave has roots in DC and don't doubt that he bought digs in Great Falls (he is rich, biyatch - and that's what you have to be to afford a place in GF). Dave passed out at the Punchline in San Francisco this pass weekend, he was taken to the hospital for de"HIGH"dration and exhaustion. The mangaer said Dave has been going on for hours and did'nt drink or eat anything.

dave chappelle was staying at a hotel right around the block from where i work in san francisco. i saw him (several times) just walking around and hanging out and being normal…he was definitely still there on saturday…
