The song is very different from early Rilo Kiley. I had to listen to it three or four times to really appreciate it and now i like it. Jenny Lewis is an absolute genius. Period. For the people who haven't heard of J.Lew or heard of Rilo Kiley, you've been missing out.

The song rocks! So excited for the new album! I've been a Rilo fan since the Initial Friend EP days. RK has always been about evolution, so it's great that this is so different from their last ablums. RK is about love not lust. RK is your best friend who eventually turns into your lover, not a one night stand. Nevertheless, the video is a little dated (circa early 90's rock bands with the shot of the band in the hallway) and Jenny is not the best at lip synching to her own lyrics…I guess that makes for great music and so so videos.

I'm loving this new single and the video is brilliant as well! I read an article with Rilo Kiley and Jenny was saying how now that the band has all done side projects they've realized they don't need eachother to be successful, but still wanted to pull the band together again for another album and that it's going to be an interesting transition for them. Personally I'm loving the new sound and can't wait for the new album to come out!
i'm slightly disappointed by this because it doesn't sound like how rilo kiley has been. new direction, i know… but weird. but i'll still buy this one coz i'm biased to them. and to those that say "who?" well, you're probably one of those people that don't even have any idea that this band has been around for years now.

Rilo Kiley has been around forever, and Jenny Lewis has had some success with her side band Jenny Lewis and The Watson Twins. I understand differences of opinion, and you don't have to like something…but I feel like the only musical education half of you have is what plays on Top 40, or what's happening under Rihanna's umbrella. There's more to music than Fall Out Boy and Beyonce.

For those of you that are slamming the new direction… What do you expect them to do? Service your "indie" needs and continue to do what they were doing 10 years ago? That would mean that they will have to continue to live off of chunks of cash that comes through, tour like nuts, continue to "prove" something to the music business that they are viable, etc. So what if its poppier or a little more sped up? I can only assume the rest of the album is lyrically holding the same weight and musically as technical.
I think they are going to blow up huge.
