One of our favorite Hollywood lesbians, Jodie Foster, has recently taken her charitable contributions up a notch, and that is very commendable.
The actress recently made a significant contribution to gay non-profit the Trevor Project for at-risk youths. And, on Wednesday, she attended the opening of the Saban Center for Health and Wellness at the Motion Picture & Television Fund in Woodland Hills, California.
Foster funded the new center's Jodie Foster Aquatic Pavilion.
The Motion Picture & Television Fund provides care for seniors from the entertainment industry. A very worthwhile cause.
We must take care of our elders!

Perez, I'm so sorry that people (the ladies from The View in particular) don't understand why you want to "out" actors. If these actors did stand up for their preferences there wouldn't be such a big homophobic attitude in Hollywood. Because we all know that once you come out, you're no longer box office material.

Jodie Foster is a perfect example of someone who has stayed on the A-list solely on the basis of her talent. She's been a major box office draw for over a decade and NOBODY cares about her sexual preference. She keeps a low profile and only does limited publicity to promote her films. People watch her movies because she's a good actor and selects good material, full stop. She's going to outlast you. In a few years, people will still know who Jodie Foster is, but everyone's going to go Perez Who?

What? Ms. Foster's degree is in Literature; she was valedictorian; and gave her address to her class in French. The woman is brilliant and I love her! I also LOVE that she is altruistic and has decided to break into philanthropy. I can envision maybe "Good Will Ambassador" on her resume as well someday. Who cares about her sexuality - she is a class act!
