"There has been quite a bit of controversy surrounding the release of My December, much of which has focused on a supposed feud with my record label, in particular, Clive Davis. I want to set the record straight on this by saying that I want my band, my advisors, those close to me and my record label to be one big, tightly knit family. Like any family we will disagree and argue sometimes but, in the end, it's respect and admiration that will keep us together. A lot has been made in the press about my relationship with Clive. Much of this has been blown way out of proportion and taken out of context. Contrary to recent characterizations in the press, I'm well aware that Clive is one of the great record men of all time. He has been a key advisor and has been an important force in my success to date. He has also given me respect by releasing my new album when he was not obligated to do so. I really regret how this has turned out and I apologize to those whom I have done disservice. I would never intentionally hurt anyone. I love music, and I love the people I am blessed to work with. I am happy that my team is behind me and I look forward to the future."

Clive gave a public bitch slap to Kelly when he gushed over stick-figure Stepford Idol Carrie Underwood at the AI finale. Kelly was the first AI cash cow and didn't deserve that treatment.
So who cares is she is eating crow! I love her album and think it is amazing! So she realized that in order to furthur sales of her album she neaded to apologize. I know we all have eaten the crow before to help our careers… Why is that so bad…

1) Her album was not a flop. It was #2 it's first week and it outsold both previous releases in their first weeks release.
2) It's still in the top 5 for the Billboard top 200.
3) She was very very right to stand up for this ablum. The new disc isn't much of a change from the previous…she's been going in this direction from the start.
4) This has been blown completely out of proportion and those that say she "straight up" said whatever about Clive. We don't know anything that she said directly to the interviewer - we weren't there. Just because there are quotes around something, doesn't make it true.
Until you actually take a listen to this amazingly talented singer/songwriters new album…stop the negativity. You can't judge any album until you've heard the entire thing more then 2 times….common knowledge.
Congrats to Kelly for sticking to her guns and proving to at least 400,000+ that she is an incredibley talented, genuine person that deserves her success more than many in Hollywood.
