Clive Davis has proven to be one of the best in the business. Kelly has proven she can sell millions of records. Just because she's young and hasn't been in the business that long doesn't mean she doesn't know what she's talking about. That doesn't take anything away from Clive, but give Kelly some credit here. My December is actually my favorite album thus far from her. Who cares about Radio airplay? Theres tons of talented people who don't get played on the radio, which is a shame because they are 99% better than everything that does get played. It's all politics.
The album is great, it is doing very well (especially compared to lots of other artists these days). Kelly looks great, those calling her fat are pretty much responsible for the downfall of our society. I'm glad she is ending the harsh words with Clive, but ultimately, it isn't an issue of right or wrong. Clive didn't want to release the album because he didn't think it would sell like Breakaway. Kelly agreed, because it isn't as mainstream as Breakaway. She didn't think she knew better than the Man With The Golden Ears, she wanted to release the record as she wrote it, regardless of the projected sales. The only thing they disagreed on was whether or not to release it as is, not the assessment of the album.

i love my december and dont see why some people think it sucks. I think its great that Kelly has tried something new, at least nobodys going to get bored of listenin to the same type of song over and over again, there are new songs and they may not be as catchy as the songs on breakaway but are still cool songs and if you listen to the words they are also very meaningful.
