Well, nobody seems to like Barbara-even though she is a HUGE icon for some reason. She reminds me of that cranky lady in the old folks home that expects special treatment.

First of all, that quote isn't really smack talk on Barbara, I don't think. It strikes me as her saying that she likes Barbara, but she gets the feeling that Barbara thinks she's sort of a freak and so she doesn't quite know how to make Barbara eat out of her hand.

I watched this week's show last night. I kept pausing and rewinding just to watch certain parts again. Is it just me or does it seem like the only Reason Barbara Walters is anybody is because she just happend to be one of the first women newscasters. I can't say that I've ever thought she was particularly good at anything. The view NEEDS somebody to bring a little bit of Shock to it. If they can't handle somebody like Kathy then they may as well close up shop. Kathy is hilarious, and works better in a group situation than Rosie, I think she would be HUGE for the show. Kathy, I hope that you read all of the comments, as I am a big fan and buy tickets to see your concert every time you are in town (West Palm Beach and Miami this past year. I have to tell you that I don't think that your hair dresser is doing you justice. Please consider changing your hairstyle! The bangs are too severe and your hair is too "puffy," it looks like a helmut and ages you. You would do better to wear your hair parted on the side and have swept bangs. Also, instead of one color processing you should add more golden highlights to soften your color. I understand, you have curly hair and it is hard to straighten out as it is, but really, try a few different new stylists and see if you can't some up with a beter style/color then that, I promise that you can look much better! Regards - a FAN!!!!

The View like any aging hurt old dog should be taken to the vet and given the Pink Juice. My belief is Kathy wants a Dynasty like Opra, the view being a stepping stone on a long path toward that end. But come on, The View is a prime example of too much reliance on focus groups to planning a show.
So all of my babling means no Kathy should not get involved with those cackling crows. It's best to be on the outside to make fun, that way your more objective when ripping them a new one. Kathy would be a great addition to the show, but Barbara Walters is too much a control freak to let it happen. Besides that, Kathy would'nt be Kathy without her smart mouth and snippy comments. She's an awesome comedian, and I'd hate to see her 'watered down' to fit into the 'View'. Kathy doesn't pull any punches, and pointing the finger at the stupid shit celebrities do is her THING and she does it like no one else. After a year of Rosie's lesbian preachfest, I really don't think Barbara Walters has the balls to hire a woman with a backbone like Kathy Griffin. Besides, Kathy obviously doesn't need 'The View', since she just got her second straight Emmy nomination for her own show: My Life on the D-List. Let Babwa strong-arm someone else.
