Sicko director Michael Moore has been subpoenaed by the Bush administration, the filmmaker announced on The Tonight Show Thursday evening.
"I haven't even told my own family yet," Moore said. "I was just informed when I was back there with Jay that the Bush administration has now issued a subpoena for me."
The government hasn't taken too kindly to the director's trip to Cuba with 9/11 rescue workers. Al Qaeda terrorists detained in the U.S. Guantanmo Camp there "are receiving free dental, medical, eye care, the whole deal, and our own 9/11 rescue workers can't get that in New York City," says Moore.

It is not illegal to go to Cuba. Google it people. He just had to go from another country - like Mexico or Canada - to Cuba. If you notice at that point in the film the screen goes black and says something about Homeland Security laws prohibiting them from revealing how they got to Cuba. You also can't spend US dollars, but since everything was free in the hospital, maybe that's how they got around that. It's not that hard to do it legally you just can't go direct. People from Canada do it all the time.

Anybody who claims Michael Moore does his research is right. He does his research on how to skew facts into misleading the public. If anyone bothered to review his methodology for any of his films you would find that their purpose is to spread his "ideas" not solutions based on the facts. While I agree he has the right to talk about his opinions they should be presented as such. I find his work highly irresponsible b/c the average american is taking what he says as fact.
First of all, why wouldn't he want to market his movie? Isn't that the point of making one so people can go see it. Second, you're allowed to have your own opinions of someone but you can't deny what's right in front of your face, which is exactly what he shows in his movies. Like him or hate him but the bottom line is he makes great movies that educate our society, and personally I'd like to know what's wrong with that.
