Sicko director Michael Moore has been subpoenaed by the Bush administration, the filmmaker announced on The Tonight Show Thursday evening.
"I haven't even told my own family yet," Moore said. "I was just informed when I was back there with Jay that the Bush administration has now issued a subpoena for me."
The government hasn't taken too kindly to the director's trip to Cuba with 9/11 rescue workers. Al Qaeda terrorists detained in the U.S. Guantanmo Camp there "are receiving free dental, medical, eye care, the whole deal, and our own 9/11 rescue workers can't get that in New York City," says Moore.

Highly unlikely that the "Bush Administration" sent the subpoena, considering there is no official government agency called "The Bush Administration." But Moore has never let the truth get in the way of a good story, and he wants this to be between him and GW, even if it isn't. It'll help him sell some more tickets…

First fo all- Michael Moore neglects to inform you that the people in Cuba live on food rations. Which aren't much at all. After standing in long lines for a loaf of bread and toilet paper they are lucky to get on a bus because they are all in such disrepair. the people over there live in as much poverty as any third world country. Free health care my ass. Free at the expense dictatorship. You are not able to go into a profession of your choice or to travel or to move without the government allowing you too. I spoke with a doctor while I was there. He had one block of people that he alone cared for-over 400 people. he made $200 a month. He couldn't get half the supplies he needed to help these people.He wished he could become a waiter at a nice resort but knew it would never be allowed. Get for facts straight people before listening to a pissed of fatty who hates America!

That's why I hate Michael Moore because he is only giving his "truth." Whoever sees his films has never felt true hunger or pain. I also love Michael Moore because he creates movies that spark dialogue and draw our attention to issues that matter. I still don't understand why I can't go to Cuba from the United States. How is this protecting me or the safety of my country today? Why are these laws still intact? Sometimes I do wish a meteor would strike and the earth would rebuild itself.

Releases basically a journalistic undercover report style of documentary film. Got it distributed by a major movie studio. And became famous. He just totally bucked the Hollywood big buisness trend. How would Jay know that a subpoena had been issued for Moore? That makes no sense to me. Furthermore, technically, he has not been served yet (if, in fact, a subpoena has been prepared). Issuance is not the same thing as service. Mr. Moore is well known for embellishing the truth, so it will be interesting to see how this unfolds. If he is, in fact, served with a subpoena at some point, he can thank his lucky stars as it will be one more tool he can use to promote his next documentary. He actually ought to send the Bush Administration a "thank you" card. They have made him quite wealthy.

First of all if anyone would get their facts straight they would know that Michael Moore was not talking about Cuba's healthcare he was talking about the treatment suspected terrorists are getting at GUANTANAMO BAY….the whole point of him going there was to show that hey we had all these people who came down from all over the country to help out in one our nation's most desperate times of need (alot of whom never got paid or anything) and selflessly volunteered and risked their lives and now they have debilitating illnesses that (again) threatens their lives caused by the conditions at ground zero and you are telling me that some terrorist can have the best medical care in Guantanamo Bay no less and our own 9/11 rescue workers can't get that in the US???
