Kelly To Release New Album In Months! Making Things Right!

Finally!
Following the critical and commercial disappointment of her most recent album, My December, and the controversy surrounding it, Kelly Clarkson has agreed to start working on a new album right away, which will be released in 2008.
Clarkson's last album, Breakaway, sold a whopping six million copies in the U.S. alone. My December is expected to sell only about 850,000.
It seems like Kelly has realized the error of her ways and is taking the appropriate steps to ensure she gets her career back on track.
My December, which was released just weeks ago, was shelved by music mogul Clive Davis for months because he didn't think the album had any hits.
Clarkson ended up cancelling her poor-selling summer tour and firing her manager, as a result of all the dramz.
Realizing the error of her ways, Kelly took the bold move of apologizing publicly to Clive Davis earlier this week.
The new album that Clarkson is recording will definitely be more radio friendly and promises to have the big pop hits this recent album lacks. Davis is overseeing the new project from its inception.

The new album is actually really good. People are only receiving it negatively because of the bad press. It was "expected" to flop.

Kelly's new album is really good but cos it's not buying the fat cat bosses their next ridiculously oversized, badly decorated mansion that she has to record a whole new simperingly brainless pop album to make up for her faux pas of doing something that *OMG* she actually wanted to do for herself musically.

Thank god. She's such a good singer, but "My December" is lackluster at best. I mean, it's not BAD, but it's just sorta… meh. I hope this new album shows her off more.

apparently im alone in my thinking that My December is actually pretty good. "Sober" is an absolutely beautiful song.
The album really isn't as bad as people are saying. I give her lots of credit for wanting to do her own thing. If Sony wants to make some money, they need to release "One Minute" as that is the most radio-friendly single.
Every artist has their slump and Kelly is experiencing that at the moment. She will pop back and be back at the top soon.

Her most recent album is phenomenal. But seeing how it has no 'hits', the label won't promote it and THAT'S why it was DOA. Not because My December wasn't a decent offering.
It's too bad they broke her. Now we'll all have a less honest album but I'm sure it'll be good for the super-duper gay remixes for the clubs.

however, I never really considered kelly an artist - she's a singer from TV. so this is actually probably the best move for her.

In this day and age, you can be sure that if somehting is wildly popular, it probably sucks ass. Everything that sells millions and tops the charts is complete and utter shite. It's overproduced, predictable, worthless crap!!! Musicians, artists, actors…most of them will sell their soul to make a buck. It's disgusting. What happened to REAL music???

My December is a great album!! It hasn't had the sales of her others because it isn't radio friendly, not because it is bad. I thought of it as a breath of fresh air among the overly saturated- female pop star with some generically named hip hop artist throwing in a rhyme or two- tracks that raido has in regular rotation. This girl has a beautiful voice.
