To market this awesome piece of Sondheim to the masses, you would need a lead like Depp and a director like Burton. So what if the leads cannot sing ala Broadway. This is less of a singing role for the two leads and more of a character acting bit with some musical moments thrown in anyhow. I am definitely going to see this one. The promo shot looks awesome. Bring on the industrial whistle of death (those that have seen the show will know what that means).

JOHNNY IS ALWAYS HOT HOT HOT HOT! he is supposed to be a killer in this movie and he still is attractive. I love it when he teams up with tim burton…..he does the "dreary" movies very well…can you imagine any other actor as good? Plus, johnny has proven his acting ability is well rounded by starring in some romantic movies such as "chocolat" but don't you just love him in the creepy roles like "fear and lothing in las vegas"?
