The Queen of Pop is said to be in talks with the music big wigs at Live Nation to sign a deal that would cover touring, recording, merchandising, and other revenue generators.
This deal is said to be worth $160 to $180 million!!!!

Thank god, she is getting a new record deal. Her last album COTHDF, was a smash success all over the world, selling up to 13 million albums. Her last tour was a juggernaut, selling out over the entire world, generating over 200 million dollars. Everything she dips her feet in turns to gold. No wonder she is the most influential and powerful artist in the America and in the World. I could only say Oprah would be more influential and powerful.

#20 she has had three back to back #1 albums in the US and most other countries…Music, American Life, and Confessions On a Dancefloor all went #1 in the US. Find any artist who has been in this industry for 25+ years and can still have back to back #1 albums worldwide. Confessions sales were HUGE internationally and her last concert was the highest grossing of any female in history….she is still worth great $$ to record companies and her career is very strong. Singles are mainly charted based on radio play and she doesn't get much radio play anymore, hence no #1 singles…but singles in the US don't make any money anyway…it's album sales that are important to record companies, singles just help the album sales.

Dollar Valuations Surface on Madonna, Live Nation Discussion
More information surfaced this week on a possible mega-deal involving Madonna and Live Nation. The discussions, first disclosed on July 11th by Digital Music News, reportedly traverse touring, recording, merchandising, and other revenue generators. Earlier, one executive close to the negotiations estimated the deal at "well past $100 million," and sources this week complemented those assertions. Specifically, one executive pointed to a valuation of $160 million, while another at a prying rival quoted a figure "closer to $180 million."
The broad arrangement would place Madonna outside of a major label relationship. During a discussion this week, one source opened the possibility of a counteroffer by Warner Music Group, though that information could not be verified.
