Whoopi is joining The View as their new co-host and moderator, Barbara Walters announced on the show Wednesday morning.

No word on a second hiring, though Sherri Shepard was pretty much considered a shoe-in.

Whoopi joked that she watched the show once or twice before she was considered.

Congrats! Let's hope Miz Goldberg can make the show as exciting as it was when Rosie was on.

Whoopi begins the day after Labor Day.

BTW, I like Elizabeth. I don't agree with her conservative views, but at least she has principles. Everyone else is wishy washy. If you read her profile on the show's website, she has accomplished a lot for her age.

Criss Angel Is Recorded Threatening To Knock Out His Producer!

Whoa! Criss Angel is NOT messing around here!

The Luxor headlining illusionist was recorded having quite the verbal altercation with Joe Monti, one of his magic producers on Wednesday, during which Angel is heard threatening to knock him out - and now he's had a police report filed against him!

Furthermore, Monti later said to authorities that he recorded the meeting because Angel has a history of bullying employees!

He explains:

“I wanted him to know how demeaning he was. I created 50-60 percent of the magic for ‘Mindfreak.' I have no reason to do anything vindictively but I draw the line on violence.”
