      well, most people have a very special relationship with their dogs. i haven't heard of many mastiff's jsut going haywire like this, but i guess if it happens, you're gonna die becuase they're huge. the thing is, little dogs are fucking vicious, hateful little things. they don't get a bad rap though becuase they're small and weak.

      Check your facts Perez! The LAPD even said that they bite wounds do not seem fatal and that the man probably had a heart attack. Leave Ving alone! A lot of people love their pets like children. He obviously cares very much for his pets and I feel sad that all this is happening when he is away. I only hope that the dogs are shown to be innocent and returned to their owner.

      I just want to mention, as i am sure many know, Mastiffs are known as "gentle giants" they are mistaken for hard core, frothing at the mouth, killers, but they are anything but!! It takes a special person to care for that particular breed. I have also wanted one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      This guy is a total creep. These dogs are fantastic and beautiful animals. So here we go again with a BIG BLACK BULL screwing with an animal to make up for his "little" short comings. The Fila Brasileiro is the most beautiful and awesome of all the guardian dog breeds, with some characteristics not found in other breeds. You will often hear Fila owners and breeders say "they're not like other dogs!"
      What is a Fila Brasileiro? The Fila is a rare molosser breed that had it's origins in Brazil starting around 400 years ago, possibly from bloodhounds, Portuguese herding dogs, mastiffs and ancient bulldogs. The Fila Brasileiro is the National dog of Brazil, it's legendary loyalty expressed in a Brazilian saying: "Faithful as a Fila".

      The Fila Brasileiro excels at family and estate protection, hunting, tracking, cattle herding and even carting. A large and powerful dog, but don't let that fool you: the Fila is also extremely agile and athletic, and it is not unheard of for a Fila to clear a six foot fence to defend his master.

      The Fila Brasileiro's protectiveness is also legendary. He is a patient and gentle family dog with those he considers his own, but does not take to strangers and should never be left unattended with casual acquaintances, strangers or anyone he does not regard as part of his immediate family.

      The Fila does not need to be trained to defend, it is part of his genetic makeup. A Fila should, however, be intensively obedience trained and desensitized to external environmental stimuli. Some people use the term "socialized", however, this often leads to the misguided belief among potential Fila owners that you can train the Fila to be reliable around and safely accept attention from strangers.

      Most Fila Brasileiro fanciers in the USA favor a heavier, larger dog with more facial skin, a broader skull, a somewhat milder temperament and less ojeriza, more like an English or Neopolitan mastiff in appearance, while the CAFIB followers prefer a lighter framed fila looking more like a hound with more ear leather, a pear shaped head and a hard temperament with plenty of ojeriza.

      In the picture to the right with his favorite teddy bear is an American bred Fila Mastiff. As you can see, he looks more like a mastiff than the female Fila (pic at bottom left) who came from a CAFIB breeder in Brazil.

      it truly amazes me that you label this picture creepy of Ving in a picture with his dogs, and only 2 dogs at that but Paris, Paula A. and other's like them can run around town shopping and going to restaurant with little dogs (that everyone thinks is so cute) and that is just fine. You don't find that creepy. I know you people are on this thing bcz of michael vick and the awful things he is accused of but Bing displayed himself as someone who loves his dogs. Now don't think I am not aware that his dogs are accused of killing a man this morning and that Ving was not in the country at the time the dogs are accused of the killing but you really shouldn't go around pointing fingers when Ving hasn't even made a statement.

      I doubt Ving trains them to fight. In one article there were nine puppies on the property. Even male dogs who did not sire the litter can become protective of puppies. My male dog would protect ten puppies from their mother's rough handling, and other perceived threats. They could have confused the caretaker's actions and been in a protective mind frame due to the litter. It sounds like a horrible accident.

      Oh god, I hope they don't put those poor babies to sleep. It would break my heart. The one on the floor looks a lot like my Boxer, and if she ever did something to a person, they'd have to kill me to get me to turn her over. I would not give her up while I had any breath left in my body, that dog is my child. She is an angel, most big dogs are sweethearts and they get a bad rap because people that don't know SHIT about dogs run their ignorant, stupid mouths. But all the murders of innocent animals will not go unavenged, the people who did them WILL pay, maybe not in this life, but in the next…and they deserve every bit of hell they get. If you cannot understand the mind of an animal, you have no business having one. My dog eats with me, sleeps in the bed with me, is a 70lb lapdog, but I know that she is a dog, and does not think like a person, even though she would kill to protect me, I know how to control her and when she could get out of hand, I remove her from a potentially dangerous situation. That is for HER SAFETY, not any human, because I don't give a damn about you people, you should know better…my dog is just trying to protect her mother. I would kill anyone who tried to harm her in any way, and she would do the same for me, because dogs are truly loyal, loving, sweet animals and do not deserve to be killed when they become a "problem". So I hope these dogs are not killed, even if they DID harm that guy. They can be rehabilitated, and they should be. There is no excuse to kill them. Hell, I will take them and rehab them myself, I know all about Boxer rescue and bully breed rehab. So give them to me, I can save them!

      It's not creepy. This guy loves his dogs. I have three big dogs and love them as well. I might even pose on the cover of a magazine with them–if I was famous.

      Mastiffs' nature is not to attack. I think that's strange. In fact they're rather docile and low energy.

      Anyway, the guy's dogs are adorable and I hope they are not put down.

      Now on the other hand, Michael Vick can be put down and I'd have no problems with that.
