You Need To Get Your Brain Checked, Says A Judge!

The bitter divorce between Anne Schizo Heche and Coley Bafoon just took a wonderfully wacky new turn.

The tempestuous twosome have both agreed to be evaluated by an independent psychotherapist in order to sort out the issue of custody of their son Homer, CelebTV is reporting exclusively.

One section of the documents, signed by Laffoon’s attorney on July 16 and by Heche on July 25, specify that any information that could be inflame either party will initially remain between the psychotherapist and the court.

Anne Heche actually agreed to take a crazy test?

      They're both assholes for using their son as a means of hurting each other. If either one gave a rat's ass about this boy, then this infantile tug-of-child would not be happening.       whenever both sides want custody of children, the court will appoint a psychologist or psychiatrist to evaluate which parent is best able to meet the needs of the child. Come on Perez, do a little research before you slam people.

      The child-custody evaluation provision, and the language they used in this stipulation, are standard issue for any divorce where both parties ask for custody. No big deal. When John and Jane Doe of Anywhere USA file for divorce and custody, they get almost exactly the same wording.

      My friend in Santa Cruz and her ex had to go through this same process, as they both wanted the kids. The psychotherapist wades through everyone's thinking to attempt to ascertain who has the makings of a better parent, to wade through the truth of two-party claims, or perhaps to decide it should just be 50/50 etc. This doesn't indicate psychological problems per se. Just another, more thorough evaluation tool to ultimately attempt to serve the best interests of the children. They really like you to do this if the ex's are in constant disagreement. It's not cheap, either…

      She is likely at this moment accusing Coley of EXACTLY the kind of behaviour that she is displaying - hang in there, Coley - we know you are the normal one!

      Should be interesting to see if any diagnoses come forth from the psych eval… However, these custody evals are notoriously inaccurate, incomplete. They are difficult to assess, to be fair to the assessors.. but they are often severely flawed.

      I just have to say that a psychological evaluation is standard in most child custody cases, especially one as nasty as this. Oh, and custody cases usually take years to resolve. In fact, mine has been going on since Feb. of 2005.
