After years and years of people trying to convince her to go….
Amy Winehouse has finally checked into rehab!
Wino was hospitalized earlier this week after suffering a drug overdose, according to various reports, confirmed by a close family member.
Says Amy's father-in-law, "[My son Blake, Winehouse's husband] He told me he was very worried about her. He admitted they both drank and did drugs but that came as no surprise. It was bought on by all her excesses. Yes, work is one of them, but there's the drink and drugs too. She's got to get a grip on herself before it's too late."
Wino is now recuperating at The Priory rehab in Roehampton, South West London.
We hope our friend gets the help she needs.

That,s all well n good that Amy went to re-hab but If she is,nt ready to get help and she has,nt hit her bottom, it,s a waste of time and money. She has many years of partying and using drugs and you cant just go to rehab and make it all better, it would be nice but its not how it works. My guess is that this girl is not ready to kiss her drugs goodbye just yet, like I said before, she has,nt hit her bottom, when she does then she will be ready to go on her own free will, not being coached by family and friends. Need to get a grip there Audrdy! Lindsay Lohan is not even in the same league as Amy Winehouse in terms of talent and incidentally Amy didn't take part in any hit and run accidents, nor did she drive whilst under the influence.

Drug addiction is a every day battle. One does not leave rehab cured. It is a life long battle. Amy used to look so healthy and pretty when she came out with her first album. I hope she returns to good health. Her husband will have to stop with the drug use. I could not imagine coming out of rehab for drugs, and having someone in my home continue to do the very thing that tore my life apart. Good luck Amy!

Amy Winehouse is an awesome talent, but I told myself a great while back that she would either end up in rehab or dead from an overdose. She (and Blake) has serious drug and alcohol problem. She is also severely anorexic. She's got a lot to overcome, especially since Blake and she enable one another!! However, I am praying that she gets better because she is one of the most talented artist (sometimes) working today.

It's a disease and it makes you unable to stop, UNLESS you realize you have a problem and do something about it. That's what Amy Winehouse is doing now. So I will tell her to get well soon, because she is taking positive steps to overcome her disease.

I read today that she's not in rehab. People that go to rehab won't succeed if they're not ready to change their lifestyle. The existance of her song indicate that she's aware she has a problem. Her persistance in drinking and taking drugs to excess indicates that she's not ready to give them up. She may be ruinning out of them. The next time she may not be so lucky. Why can't people become rich and famous without buying into this lifestyle. Is fame worth it?
