Amy Winehouse is talking about the scary drug overdose that landed her in an London emergency room this past week.

The singer, who refuses to go to rehab, spoke exclusively to the News Of The World.

Says Wino:

"It was one of the most terrifying moments of my life. It was just crazy—one of the most terrifying moments of my life. I don't know how to explain what happened. I don't really know myself. I can't remember what I looked like. I couldn't recognise myself. It was terrifying—I was terrified. I was so out of control. It just happened. It shocked me. I'm sorry—I just don't know what got into me. I never want to feel that way again.I've scared myself this time. I was all over the place. I know things have got to change. I have to sort myself out. I'm fine. I'll be back at work on Monday. I'm fine, honest."

Obviously the experience scared her and at least she is not in full on denial like some others *cough*lindsay*cough*britney, even though she is not at the point were she is willing to accept that this is a long term problem and not one episode and get some help. Although, before anyone judges her we should think about the fact that its this way or going into rehab just for the sake of p.r as others have done… maybe when she goes it will be for real and she will actually get better… although, i have heard that relapse is a part of recovery. If (and likely when) she goes through another episode i hope she gets help because she really is talented and seems to have a lot to share with the world.

I feel for this girl and wish her the best in life, it is easy to get caught up in the fast lane, and disabling to see the way out. I just want to posess my opinion that this poor girl needs help and she doesnt understand the complexity to do so. Shes caught up in the mix and influenced by others… You know that she has to hit ROCK BOTTOM before she comprehends whats happening to her, her life and career. I just hope she bounces back… It would be a terrible shame if her talent and career ends up in the gutter. Im rooting for this girl!!! This breaks my heart because I've been there… and I guess I'm still there mentally. And I'm not a loser.. you would be very surprised to meet me and know who I am, what I do for a living… Not everyone with these problems is a good-for-nothing loser. Show some compassion. I really hope she gets her shit straight… I'll be paying attention to see how its done. Maybe I'll even learn from her.. you could too. Amy, you'll get there… I'm pulling for you

she is smart and talented, but once you get into the drug spiral, it is very hard to get out, especially surrounding yourself with people who do drugs…it is very hard.
