America just does not like these two together!
On the heels of their underperforming movie El Cantante, which dropped more than 56% this at the box office this weekend, the much hyped Jennifer Lopez/Marc Anthony has come out the gates with a whimper.
Tickets for many cities (including Atlantic City, Chicago, Washington DC and two shows in New York) went on sale this weekend and not one show sold out. Sales were just soft.
In fact, a few of the shows are so undersold, you can still get floor seats or Lower Level seats near the stage on Ticketmaster.com.
J. Lo, who has never done a proper tour of the U.S., should have just done her own show. Then we wouldn't have to sit through all of Skeletor's songs!

OMG Perez que pena!!! Anywhoo…I love how my fellow latinos stand up for each other. Marc is obviously the shining star here. I'd go running to buy the tickets if it was him alone! I have been to every one of his concerts in NYC in Madison Square Garden and there wasn't an empty seat in the house! How many concerts has he sold out ALONE? Please gringos (no offense but really) this man is an icon in Latin America and a legend in the making. Just because he is now married to JLo, you think he is Mr. Jennifer Lopez? Marc Anthony is definately the talent in this couple. Latin America adores him and his music. White america doesn't understand the talent Marc Anthony holds for us latinos. His music throughout the years has been consistent. So before speaking of the man do your research because he is hot, hot, hot and has been very successful for years before Jennifer came around. salma hayek said it a couple of years ago, Jennifer is American she is not boricua, she arrived for the first time in san juan when she was 25 years old i think, she can't speak spanish and yes for the person who said the language does not matter yes it does. Personally I am tired of hearing about these two, BUT, there is no doubt that Marc Anthony is the star here. To all those people that criticize his looks, you have a lot to learn. He may not be the most handsome, but when it comes to singing, he is fabulous. Jennifer cannot come even close to his singing range or talent. She should stick to dancing. Marc's voice has been complemented by the biggest of stars. He has the voice of an angel and anyone who has heard him sing knows this. There is no lip-syncing with him. Whether these two will last, who knows, but I wish Marc the best. He is by far the talented one here.

We are US citizens from the moment of birth, no green cards needed here and may I say we have paid a dear price for it. It's about time, believe it or not, we finally have a film out portraying and memoralizing one version of the life of a great singer from Puerto Rico. That's right, one great singer that succumbed to the usual forces that has killed many other great artists too early. I thank both Jennifer and Marc for that. They are true innovators and risk takers in the face of all the haters that this country continues to breed. I saw the movie on day one at the Lincoln Center Theatre, NYC, and it was sold out. I felt it and recognized a time I experienced. It hurt in some respects but reality bites sometimes. But, of course, I know more of my history than most of you out there know about anything and everything you comment on. Have some respect for the written word, if not yourself, even if no one can see you. QUE VIVA LA MUSICA SIEMPRE. Still miss you Ray Barretto.

JLo is a leech on the Latin community and wants to further her career via Skeletor. Although Skeletor looks like a crack head, he does have singing capabilities. JellyHO on the other hand has little talent other than doing anything to further her career. She should stick to dancing in videos like in her "Fly Girl" days. Why do people have to comment on subjects they know nothing about. Marc Anthony is a wonderful singer and performer. I have been a fan for many years. Seen him in concert four times and would love to see him again, but I won't spend one red cent to go see him with JHo. If anything, she is dragging him way down.

I will suggest, grab a backpack and travel the world, so you can appreciate the different cultures, customs, and how people appreciate each other without looking at anybody's skin color. There are people from every different racial background in latin american coutries, that's what makes them so hot looking, and then you have people in this country who live in L.A, and think that if your Latin you are suppose to stuff your mouth with some hot chili peppers, or if you live in Miami and your latin, you better be eating some rice and beans.

The movie was REMARKABLE!!! Jennifer Lopez should get an oscar nod for her performance in El Cantante…I will see this over and over again. Marc Anthony's performance as singer and actor was equally impressive. I hope who ever is readiong this will take me seriously, it was one of the best movies I have seen in months!!

Jennifer getting an Oscar - Yeah, Ok - Sit and wait for that one. It won't happen. The movie itself seemed to concentrate more on Puchi narrating; than the whole story of who Hector Lavoe really was. He was a lot more than someone addicted to drugs. The concert scenes were good; but not long enough. The movie did not concentrate on WHY people adored him so much and WHY he became the "people's singer". Marc is great — Jennifer on the other hand - no comparison. She's a smart promoter of herself and knows what to do when it comes to getting attention; but she should really stick to dancing.

I've grown up listening to marc anthony all of my life and I love him! A lot of people don't know they're history together and are so quick to bitch about them. Marc anthony is perfect for Jennifer. All the non latinos out there don't be so quick to hate on marc he's very talented you're just not very familiar with him yet ! El cantante was not promoted and advertised as much as it should have been and was shown in very few theaters that is why it didn't do as good as it should have !!!!!!
