Andy Samberg is a great example of someone who is overhyped. First of all, to me he has an extremely annoying face - he looks like the Joker from Batman. Second (and worst of all), I rarely laugh at him when he's featured in a sketch. Sorry, but mugging for the camera and playing up the boyish charm doesn't get an automatic laugh from me. What he's done (and what I think has largely contributed to his popularity) is that he's positioned himself well in the funny "SNL Digital Shorts" that are funny but not really because of him. The idea or premise is funny, such as D*** in a Box or the one that has the people in the apartment getting shot repeatedly, but it's not HIM that makes it funny. Nothing is more annoying than the hype machine telling us someone is the next great thing when they don't have the goods to back it up.

I think SNL has sucked since the mid-90s. MadTV was very funny around the turn of the century, and a few years after that, but it sucks again now.

Criss Angel Is Recorded Threatening To Knock Out His Producer!

Whoa! Criss Angel is NOT messing around here!

The Luxor headlining illusionist was recorded having quite the verbal altercation with Joe Monti, one of his magic producers on Wednesday, during which Angel is heard threatening to knock him out - and now he's had a police report filed against him!

Furthermore, Monti later said to authorities that he recorded the meeting because Angel has a history of bullying employees!

He explains:

“I wanted him to know how demeaning he was. I created 50-60 percent of the magic for ‘Mindfreak.' I have no reason to do anything vindictively but I draw the line on violence.”
