Amy Enters Rehab! Finally!!!!
After a false alarm last week that she had checked in to a treatment facility, Amy Winehouse has finally entered rehab.
The Mirror is reporting that the Rehab singer flew to a treatment center in America this past weekend to deal with an addiction to heroin and cocaine.
Wino's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is also entering rehab with her for his own addictions.
The last straw for Amy's family was when her best friend, Juliette Ashby, caught her smoking heroine on Friday night, just days after her scary drug overdose.
Winehouse's father, Mitch, got into a huge fight with Blake's parents.
The twosome eventually agreed to get treatment. They have surrendered their cell phones and cut off all contact with the outside world.
Rehab rarely works the first time, but hopefully it will stick with Amy - or at least guide her in the right direction.

Thank God she's getting the professional help she deserves. As Pezzles and I know, there is no cure or try hard solution for rehabilitation from an addiction. Once and addict always an addict. Just at some stage in your life you get over it. You have kids, you have things to do. There is never a cure, you just find more important things to do. There is no bridge you have to reach to wack it. Time wacks it. Dont let time wack you with an OD. Move on, have a kid, get cable television, spend time with your family, drink wine, get a little plump, sit in the sun and chat with a bottle of champers, sleep in the afternoon sometimes, watch old movies, cruise. Amy, you can do it, we all love you!!!
i am so happy and almost relived to read this. i love her music so much and i think she is truly talented. It would be so sad to lose her to an overdose like Janis Joplin.

I wish Amy the best! She's amazingly talented and it would be sad to see her continue down this path. I went to treatment for alcohol and it stuck for me the first time, so I hope Amy will be as fortunate.
She will get clean when she has hit rock bottom and decides she must do it for her, not one second before. I dont particularly like her but I wouldnt wish addiction on anyone,ever. I have watched ppl I love dearly destroy themselves and become unrecognizable all in the name of addiction. My beloved daughter is lost to me forever because of opiate and herion addiction and I would give anything, do anything to have those yrs back.

So let me get this straight…she's finally in rehab…but she's in the SAME rehab as her prime enabler? This does not bode well.
I shot drugs in my arms for a long time. I had puncture marks all over, I was skin and bones. I lived on the street. Having a child gives you something to live for. It gets you over the death wish. Its makes getting up everyday worthwhile. I make a ton of money now, I poured all that energy into business and made a fortune on the Internet. Thats what stopped it all for me, having someone else to care for. Very talented people sometimes have a hard time. They have to find a place to channel their energy. I had someone else to make life living worthwhile. Ask Mario and Angelina Jolie, he and her has a family also to support and thats what they are doing now. Putting their energy into supporting their loved ones! Its not the money, what counts in life is pouring whatever joy you can into that of others!

He was a sick boy and made me even sicker! I was lucky to get rid of him and save my life. Although being apart from him took all the forces in the universe, it hurt so bad… I was so obsessed with wanting to be with him…. unforch I don't think they can keep these two apart… it takes hitting bottom and having no money and having to be hundreds of miles away with no dollars for transportation, etc. That'll never happen here.
She does have to want it for herself, not parents, fans, managers, or husband. I don't think it will work. It took 7 rehabs for me and I was doing the same drugs, IV. I kept thinking "Well, now I'm not physically addicted, I can do just one more" and before I knew, I was using just as much as before rehab. Do you really think Amy won't use "just once more"???

Rehab rarely works the first time because these people aren't in there nearly long enough. A therapist that deals in drug addictions said that a person needs to be there for at least 6 months.
