Exciting news!

Jakey's coming to Broadway!

The Brokeback Mountain star is set to star in a new play, Farragut North, produced and possibly directed by the legendary Mike Nichols.

What's the show about?

Farragut North is a play about presidential politics, written by a former campaign advisor to Howard Dean.

Presidential politics?

Dang, that means we shouldn't expect any nudity on stage!

The play is expected to debut in the fall of 2008, the heart of campaign season.

I saw it in the NY Post today so it might not be. Mike Nichols is married to Diane Sawyer, so maybe she made him grab Jakey. She likes the pretty boys.

      All these film actors need to realize that live theatre is a completely different beast. Julia Roberts learned that the hard way in "Three Days of Rain"—known by New Yorkers as "THREE HOURS OF PAIN." Good luck, Jake, but there are REAL actors on Broadway who are laughing at you behind your back.

      i worked on a photo shoot a while back and was part of the team taking pics of Jakey, he fully changed right in front of me and i seen ALL of his "gyllenho" and i must say it was very impressive and he's even more sexy naked but tried to keep "it" covered as much as he could, it was very hard for me to stay professional at that moment without dropping to my knees lol.

      He's been in on the stage before. I saw him in London at the Garrick theatre in a production of This is our Youth with Hayden Christiansen and Anna Paquin. I went to see the show because of the other 2 but Jake was the best of the 3 he totally blew the others out of the water in the play. I had no idea who he was at he time (2002) and had I known he was bubbleboy I might have taken a miss on the play but I'm so glad I didn't. It was my first real experience with live theater and I'm now hooked!!! I think he'll be great on stage.

      I've seen him on stage before, he was in the London production of 'This is our Youth" and he was amazing in it. I didn't really know who he was before but I've been a fan ever since. The other actors during that run were Hayden Christansen and Anna Paquin. He was by far the best of the 3, without a doubt!
