Unfortunately, I'm boycotting Macy's - they belong in New York - Chicago is historical for Marshall Fields being the most upscale department store. I think she looks really pretty and so what if she's not baring her teeth, grinning like a manic - she's probably been sitting at the table holding that stupid bottle for the past half an hour. I think her smile is lovely and her hair does look great.

As for being condescending, it's all based on media backlash against her and people just believe it. People who know her or have worked with her keep saying how fun she is, but she still gets slated for not being a nice person. Someone recently reported she had a wickedly dirty sense of humour, but the media just choose to ignore those kind of things. It's easier just to label her as no fun just because she doesn't play the media game and talk endlessly about her private life.

I saw her at Live 8 with her daughter and she was smiling away, happy and really lovely to everyone who came up to talk with her. People should just give her a break.

Angelina Jolie Announces That Her Next Movie Will Be...

Maleficent!

At least, we think it is! Almost positive, actually!

Angelina Jolie was at the Berlin International Film Festival today, where she is screening her directorial debut, In The Land Of Blood and Honey out of competition, when she announced that the long-rumored project was next up for her - even though she didn't specifically call it by name!

She explains:

"I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this . The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie. The best thing to find that balance is to do something that is just for children. You know, you find different ways to make things matter. When, for example, you do fun action movies, they are empowering for my daughters."

And since we've gotten word that the Luc Besson movie she had been eyeing seems to have stalled, and Maleficent recently got Robert Stromberg as a director, we think it's safe to say that the Linda Woolverton-written adaptation of the classic fairy tale is definitely where we'll see her next!

So, so cool!
