Kristen Bell is returning to TV!

The Veronica Mars cutie just signed on to star in a multi episode arc of the upcoming season of NBC's hit Heroes.

Bell was being courted for several TV shows, including ABC's Lost, but ended up with the peacock network. Smart move. Lost has lost momentum but Heroes is still hot.

Bell will make her Heroes debut some time in October. She’ll play Elle, a character described as a sexy, mysterious young lady who has ties to the supposed death of Peter, H.R.G.’s past and the future of Claire. Elle will kick off her arc by committing a serious crime, though it’s unclear whether she’s good or bad.

“This was not easy to pull off,” said Heroes creator-exec producer Tim Kring. “But since we’re an ensemble show, with many arcs playing out through the year, we found a way to jump into a small window in (Bell’s) schedule.”

Should spice things up!

      Sorry Perez, gotta disagree with you about Heroes being the better choice - Lost is only gonna pick up steam as it heads into the home stretch, coming in shorter seasons and such… the whole thing is the best mindfuck ever. While Heroes is definitiely an awesome show, its only good if you just want alot of action and don't wanna have to think about plot details. But it won't be remembered in 20 years time the same way LOST will be.

      And I have trouble watching Heroes after seeing that pap shot of the cheerleading kissing that guy who plays her dad on the show :eww:

      i love it that some people still KNOW that lost is much better then heroes. although, i do love heroes, but it still pales in comparison to lost the mindfucker. i'm glad kristin bell is going to be a part of heroes in a number of episodes, but i still wish they hadn't cancelled veronica mars.

      heroes is awesome. my friend got me to watch, and although i'd always disdained the superhero thing (except for the spider-man movies), it's engaging. veronica mars was apparently too smart for the average citizen who'd rather gawk at the american idol douchebags, but kristen has landed on her feet. plusgood for her!

      About the facts being straight….Lost only runs for about 43 minutes an episode and most episodes only have about 15 minutes of flashback, which are usually intriguing and still revealing…a story-telling technique that Heroes couldn't have wet dreams about!
      Season 1 of Heroes was good, but it just can't compete with the best Lost has to offer…
      UH HELLO? I wouldn't call the season 3 finale a "loss of momentum." EVERYONE is still talking about what happened. What did we hear after season 1 of Heroes ended? Um yeah, that's right, crickets. Because the season finale SUCKED.

      Heroes is a decent show, and had a great first season, which seemed to build up to what was going to be a STELLAR season finale, but they Tim Krieg dropped the ball big time, leaving the Heroes audience wanting. The Sylar/Peter Petrelli fight, which they had been hyping for so long, was fucking LAME.

      However, the second half of the 3rd season of Lost DESTROYED. Over at AICN, the talkback for the last episode of Lost has been going strong for over 3 months now, and it's still going hard. Yah, KB is a total hottie and her addition to Heroes will be awesome, but in no way is Heroes better than Lost. Perez, you're up your own ass if you think for a second that Lost has lost its steam. Just wait until s4, and see how many people start freaking out about it.

      She only chose "Heroes" because it's easier for her to accomodate with her also doing "Gossip Girl" and being suddenly in demand in Hollywood. "Lost" would have required her to move to Hawaii. While living in Hawaii can seem like a great thing, you are far from LA and have to turn down a lot of work.

      And as for which show is better. While I am a fan of "Heroes", the finale was a let down. They teased the Peter vs Sylar fight all season and then the actual fight was lame. When shows like "Alias" and "Buffy" featured better fight sequences that a show about people who are "Heroes" then you have a problem.

      And while "Lost" lost viewers last season, it was only because of the timeslot. 10PM is too late for most people. And the last 16 episodes of Season 3 that ran non stop were nearly flawless. And that finale was so crazy that it changed the game on many TV shows. I can't wait until February 2008!

      Good. I'm glad I don't have to sit through three and a half seasons of shit that is Lost in order to see Kristen on television again. At least she's going to be appearing in a show that's good (minus the season finale, but one black mark is better than the hundreds of black marks that Lost has).
      #39, she hasn't had any plastic surgery. She looks the same as when she started acting, so I don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

      lost or heroes???? are you kidding? have you seen lost? i mean really seen lost… lost is the best thing that ever happened to tv. it's deep, mysterious, it's captivating, fucking mindblowing. nothing like the mainstream crap.
      and please… you can't compare matthew fox, elizabeth mitchell, michael emerson or terry o'quinn to any of these heroes actors! let alone the storylines or character developments. also i love milo and like heroes, it's just no comparison to lost!
