The show was just dying for a shrew still bitter from being unpopular in high school yet having superior taste in music, lit, and film, as well as being more enlightened than the rest of the rest. If the popular, good looking boys asked her out on dates back then, and she may not be so miserable and negative in her forties.
I hope 24 is better than last season which sucked. Maybe she sill add a little something to it. Maybe she'll help Jack get over Audrey???
