Scissor Sisters chanteusse Ana Matronic has been in San Francisco for the last 2 weeks, resting after the massive world tour for their last album, sources tell PerezHilton.com.

Saturday night, Ana was at Cold Steel on Haight Street and got the inside of her lower lip tattooed with the word "Staunch".

Staunch? Staunch????

Update: Sources close to Miz Matronic tell us that "Staunch" is a reference to the cult classic documentary Grey Gardens.

      She also performed and hosted at venerable San Francisco institution Trannyshack last Tuesday for Siouxsie Sioux night. Evidently that's where she got her start, as one of the first bonafide "Faux-Queens," or women doing drag as women. So says the fabulous Ms. Heklina, host of Trannyshack, in anycase.

      Anyway, she was definitely bringing it all back home at Trannyshack–the audience loved her and she loved us back. The house was so full that the fire marshall came and threatened to shut down the show. Bitch is not just fierce, she got realness enough for a crowd of San Francisco queens.
