Veteran funnyman Bill Murray was arrested in Sweden earlier this week on suspicion of drunk driving.

Murray was stopped by police in Stockholm as he was driving a golf cart in the center of the city at 3:29 am on Monday morning.

Drunk golf cart driving? LOVE it!

Bill refused to take a breathalizer test and was taken to the police station for blood testing and processing.

Don't drink and golf!

      He was arrested on Birger Jarlsgatan, smack in the city centre, MILES from any golf course. Where did he get the golfcart? Next time friends from out of town come and visit, I can show them the spot where Bill Murray got arrested, that will be awesome!

      apperently he had been drinking with his golfbuddys from Scandinavian Masters on café opera. Stockholm traffic-police say that he has confessed and that he has signed a authorization. The bloodtest will be ready in about 2 weeks. The police also say that Bill was very sympathetic and kind.

      Oh and BTW, breathalyzers are notoriously innacurate. just google it. he probably was aware of this. because he's smart and perfect. my boyfriend was given 3 separate tests each about 5 minutes apart and they all showed very different readings.

      He was playing in a golftournament. At the hotel where they put Murray up the had a display promoting the tournament that included a gold cart. Murray grabed the golf cart to go to a club about a mile away.

      Last time I was in Sweden I was told that any alcohol in your system (even one sip of beer) would result in a DUI (subsequent jail time for residents… don't know penalty for nonresidents). Pretty tough rules.

      I met Bill Murray the other day outside a shop, near Stureplan in Stockholm! He was so nice and funni..yes I will always love that guy! :) He has commited 2 crimes…D.U.I and it's illegal to drive a golf cart in the streets in Sweden *Hilarious*
