Madonna has sold her Maverick Records label to Warner Music. The label, which she founded 12 years ago, included such artists as Alanis Morissette and Prodigy. This sale comes on the heels of a rumour that Madge will be leaving Warner after her contract expires upon completion of her next album. Cuz she wants (and deserves) more money.

      madonna sold her part in Maverick back in 2004. The remaining partners were Guy Oseary and other partners. Delaware suits were filed by both Maverick and WBR (counter suits). This is old news as it is stated. The real news may be that the remaining partners sold out to WBR.

      Check your facts guys! Madonna didn't sell all of her shares in Maverick five years ago…. This deal however sees the rest sold now to Warner.

      And as for her last album being trash. I bet every other artist would be happy to have their album described as trash - and then selling millions in the process. Jealousy is such a nasty trait!!!!
