    Check out Kevin Aucoin's work….in Face Forward. I think he did that transformation on her…years ago of course. He's done a lot of Celebs…that book is awesome!

    She's not trying to do an impersonation of Dylan. The point of the movie is to capture his essence at different points in his life. For her to try an impersonation would be just another stunt. At one point in the movie Dylan is played by a black kid. I don't think the director is going for impersonations with this.

    This was pretty gutsy of Cate, I love her, and the weirdness of it suits the subject, but it doesn't really work It's fascinating to see how she does it but it's still not Dylan…not a man either. Someone hit it when they said creepy E. Furlong. He'd be perfect. Or Joaquin Pheonix…he's strange enough and was terrific as J. Cash. Or if they wanted a real musician, maybe Beck would be good.

    i am a huge dylan fan and she did an amazing job i could not believe it, the way she put the cigerette in her mouth and the way she was sitting was identical. and he did have long fingernails. thanks for the sneak peak i can not wait to see it.
