Here in Miami, people are going nuts. Broward county police are being called in. The coast Guard has also staked out the eastern coast of Miami as well as monitoring Cuba. The FBI is also on alert, I would there is something is going on especially if the FBI is on high alert.

What I've been told is this…my co workers fiance informed her that the hialeah police department was getting ready for the crowds

Another co-worker got in contact w/ a relative in Cuba that mentioned to her that the schools in Cuba today were closed.

Most of the people I know who have been to Cuba actually were suprised at how "okay" the Cubans living in Cuba were. They expected them to at least look unhappy even if they couldn't complain. A friend of mine who works for a paper uses his press pass to go in and out on "trips" and said that he was surprised at how everyone seemed to have enough and no one was 'desperate' like they are in this country. He's not a communist, so it wasn't his lefty leanings coming through. He just said that he thinks we have a different impression of Cuba because of the Cubans living here.
