Amy Winehouse seems to be doing better (we hope).
The Rehab singer and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, enjoyed a pleasant stroll through the streets of London on Friday afternoon.
We spoke to Amy on Friday and she sounded lucid and well on the phone. She told us that she and Blake planned to go on a little holiday soon, and that should do her a lot of good.
Get away from the drama, the paparazzi, the bad influences and please focus on getting healthy and happy, girl!

This is a sad attempt to draw attention away from your earlier Castro announcement. Now whatever happens with Castro - like if he dies in a week, or two weeks, or even a month, you will claim that you “broke” the story first. Amy, Honey, no one knows what goes on inside your head or your heart and you have to want it for yourself. We can all sit here and cast disparaging remarks in your direction and the direction of your husband, but it’s what you feel that matters the most. A mind such as mine, for I speak only for myself, can never imagine what drives you to do the things you do. I can’t fathom having a disorder that prompts you to cut yourself, or an addiction to hardcore drugs, because I have neither. I can only hope that at some point you realize what your life is worth. Put aside the music, and the media glitz; your life, without either, is worth so much more than what you’ve materialized in your own sense of purpose. If you say that your husband saved your life, then I will have to believe you. He may just be your saving grace, through it all. But we all know, through past high profile mistakes, how this is going to end up if you don’t get control of it right now. I don’t want to snap on the net and read that you were found dead, on the floor of some hotel, due to an overdose. Wake-up and take life for what it is…a privilege and a gift. God Bless and be well. I've been wondering if her song Rehab is a self-fulfilling prophecy. By this I mean that because it's such a huge hit, I wonder if on some level she feels compelled to play out the role of "bad girl" resistant to getting well. Part of people's attraction to her is reading all about the drama and rebelliousness. I wish she had not even recorded that song. She's got an amazing voice and so much potential. Anyone else notice how her husband is smiling in EVERY picture of them together, and she rarely smiles? It's strange and sad. Depression, drug addiction, self loathing… It sucks. Going on a holiday won't do anything…it just helps avoid the issues. No one sets out to become addicted to drugs and sadly enough she'll probably get worse before she gets better, if she gets better. Drug addiction is so, so hard to beat and you have to really want it to get through it. You can't just keep yourself locked up in a hotel room a couple days and think you'll be fine. Does she even want to stop at this point?
The addict, does not have it the hardest, it's the people who love her the most that will be let down time and time again. She will get better, and that will dissolve and then she'll have to pick up and start again but perhaps with a little more willpower.
I wish the best for this beautiful girl, hopefully one day she'll realize that self destruction doesn't have to be the way to feel better.
