"I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time," the actor said in a statement released through his publicist on Monday.

No comment on the reported suicide/overdose that lead to his emergency hospitalization in Los Angeles over the weekend.

It has been reported that Anna Nicole constantly googled herself and was obsessed and very affected by negitive press and especially blog sites where the public voiced negitive views of her. None of us can know what is going on inside Owen and what affects him. He is one that found fame by accident, didnt seek it. I read this gossip stuff when I need a break from work, but I honestly think it is way out of control. It is ok to photograph "stars" when they show up to an event, or report on them when they give photos and interviews themselves, or maybe even report a first hand account of a star encounter, but enough with following them around. I really hope the press/photogs can leave him alone at the hospital and in all "star's" daily lives. It is so stupid and immoral to follow people. Who wants to see someone, anyone, buy a jug of milk or leave a nail salon? And trying to get a glimpse of someone at a hospital, or a baby shower/wedding is deplorable. But nothing will change so long as people still buy mags or visit sites publishing these pics/stories.

I`ll tell you it about time this problem for Owen Wilson came to the for front, I have partied with Owen on many occasions and he loves his cocaine! It was just a matter of time before it got to him, It got to me and I went through de- tox and re-hab after a overdose last year.
Owen used to get so feindish when he was parting on cocaine he would act so weird and it would get such a hold on him he could`nt talk.
The last time I saw him which was about 2 weeks ago we went to lunch and he was so depressed about his nasal passages collapasing he was seeking out a Dr. to fix it.
But, The problem was he was "almost always high" and the Dr. would not operate until he was 1 month sober from drugs.
He knows he is messed up and really wants help and I hope he will get the help he needs now.
