PerezHilton.com has learned exclusively that a laywer for Britney Spears is in court right this minute battling it out with Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin Federline's high-powered attorney.

Dennis Wasser is asking the court for a continuance. The baby battle was set to begin September 17th, but Britney's team does not feel ready.

      Britney honestly needs to have her children taken away. She is a horrible mother and everyone knows that she has mental issues. Its sad that you can be so rich and famous and be such a fuck up. Probably the only people that have tried helping her are her family who she keeps pushing away. I don't see her living a very long life. If her kids get taken away I can see her killing herself or something….kinda sad!

      In the REAL word " I'm not ready " in a case where child endangerment was being alledged would not work. That judge should say tuff shit GET READY You have several weeks. If the judge lets them file a continuance and something happens to the children it would not be a good thing for the state. K-Fed could say that the state put his children in danger. I dont think BS will get it. But then again anything goes in Cali

      So why'd Britney shave her head? — Kevin taunted Britney that even his smoking of marijuana in her presence (Jeff showed us a pic of Kevin on his phone of Kev with a joint in his hands, partying with his friends) would leave traces of the drug that could be picked up by drug testing when they lived together and he threatened to use that against her in a custody battle. After Britney shaved her head, she begged her mom and Kevin to test the hair from the salon however no one went to claim it. Instead, Larry and her family staged an intervention in a hotel room with the same interventionist that put Britney's father Jamie in rehab and also worked with her brother. Britney begged for them to give her a drug test but eventually felt there was no other option but to enter a treatment program to prove to her family that she was clean and to protect herself from any unfounded accusations in a potential custody battle. Britney met with attorneys over a month ago regarding legal action against Promises. "I think she certainly has a case against the rehab center, I feel what they did to her was not only cruel and embarrassing it added more ammunition aiding Kevin's eagerness for custody over her finances, whoops I mean children."

      I do hope the children are put in K-Fed's care while brit get the Psychological/Mental Health care she so desperately needs. Like before, K-fed can bring the babies to visit mom while she is getting the help she so desperately needs. Dept of Children Services will give her about 6 months for her stability and then check to make sure she stays that way before she gets custody of children again.

      like i have said before i feel sorry for britney to a point but i do think that she needs HELP being a mother i will say this for kevin you never see crazy pics and stories when he is with kids and britney does do some strange things when she has kids with her and keeps them out all hours of the night we have to remember this is not about who likes kevin or britney better but what is BEST FOR KIDS……
