Nick's mom, Linda Hogan, has released the following statement:
"My son Nick and a friend were involved in a car accident last night. Nick suffered minor injuries and has been treated and released from the hospital. At this time, his friend, John Graziano remains hospitalized. Nick is currently at the hospital with John and his family. His sole concern is for the well being of his friend. On behalf of my family, we ask that your thoughts and prayers be with John and his loved ones."
Linda conveniently failed to mention that Nick was speeding, according to many accounts.

Why does she have to mention that he was speeding? We've all read Perez…. we've all seen the photos! Back off. This is something they have to deal with! Why is everyone so judgemental? Why can't we look at this as "Thank God nobody died…… Thank God he didn't kill anybody or himself" Everyone should see this as a learning experience and be thankful. I hope that he gets the help he needs and not to be behind the wheel for a long time. From watching the show he always caused the problems and Brooke always got punished for it. John J. Graziano family (grandmother) says she heard while the father was talking on the phone that his son had some type of brain damage, that he is in Critical condition. John's father was flying to Florida from New York.

John is a friend of mine and all i have to say about that statement is, actions speak louder than words. John really needs everyone's prayers….he is in bad shape. A life is already forever changed in a major way because of immature decisions.

It was very selfish of him to drag race. He threw any disregard away for anyone else on the road that night, and thank God that no one else was hurt. The whole reason drunk driving is so bad is because it leads to…guess what…dangerous driving. #91, First off not everyone speeds, obviously you do. Secondly, he was going about twice the speed limit. He was more than speeding like most would do, 5-15 MPH. Stop defending his driving, there's no reason to. He most cetainly wasn't using his brain going that fast. If a car pulled out of a driveway or parking lot he he left himself and others in a very scary situation, he was racing on a public street, Yes he's human hopefully he learned his leason. I live in the Tampa Bay area.. and the Tampa Bay area has always been happy to have the Hogans as residents, however Nick should not be so careless with his life and the lives of others. He has every opportunity to race professionally, he should NEVER try to do it on any public road. The majority of my family and my friends live in the St. Pete/ Clearwater/ Tampa area. When he chose to drive erratically, he not only chose to endanger his life, and his friend's life, but possibly my own life and the lives of my grandmother, my aunts and uncles, my cousins, nieces and nephews, my friends, and really anyone in our community. I know the Hogans are a little kooky, but they are good people, and have always been good members of our community.
