Witnesses on the scene of the near-fatal Nick Hogan car crash are confirming that he was racing a silver Dodge Viper at the time, but police say it's too early to know for sure what led to the crash.

No charges have been filed.

After a big hug and thanking God that he's okay now, we'd smack the shit out of Nick for risking his own life and putting innocent people in danger as well!

Let me explain racing to some of you… see usually there is another car involved. AT LEAST ONE! That ONE OTHER car involved was a SILVER VIPER. Nick was driving a POS Supra… of the yellow variety. He picked a FIGHT with a SIVER VIPER. And for those nerds out there… Bummblebee raced Jazz and lost.

He was not racing they were on there way home from dinner. The silver viper is Nick's car too, his friends were driving it about 100 yards ahead and saw the accident and went back. Nick was only driving maybe 50 mph at the time someone in my family was w/ him after the accident last night. It was an extremely unfortunate accident not racing we should just be praying for our close friend that is crictically injured not trying to rip apart the "Hogan" Family

This is an excellent reason why teens don't need these super fast cars… even privileged ones. They are high risks anyways and subject to not making good decisions… other countries have restricted licenses for motorcycles, etc.

It might be a good idea and save some young peoples lives, lower insurance rates, etc. Probably not though… but anyways, sorry to hear and read this whole thing

Wow, I'm so glad to know we have so many upstanding citizens in this country. I mean clearly Nick is the only teenager to ever drive to fast or do something stupid behind the wheel of a car. Teenagers test the limits, that's just what they do. Whether the kid's family has millions of dollars or is flat broke a teenager will always test the limits. Unfortunately it sometimes takes something bad happening for them to realize that they are not indistructable. I'm glad he is ok and I pray that his passenger is as well. I think the family seems very close knit and the parents are very involved with their kids, especially considering they are celebrities. How many parents do you see on the scene of an accident minutes after it happened? Definitly not that many.

In Fla, his license can be taken away by his parents until the age of 18. I don't think that will happen. The guy in the car with him is still in critical condition. He had just come home from Iraq.
