Expect to see Cartman and friends on TV at least through 2011!

South Park creators have just extended their deal with Comedy Central for another three years.

How much are they getting paid? $75 MILLION!!!!

Under the new deal, Parker and Stone will also create South Park Digital Studios, which will oversee South Park's production and also create new projects.

Of the new deal, Stone said: "Three more years of 'South Park' will give us the opportunity to offend that many more people. And since Trey and I are in charge of the digital side of South Park, we can offend people on their cell phones, game consoles, and computers too. It's all very exciting for us."

Exciting indeed!

And, perhaps inspired by the success of The Simpsons movie, maybe Trey and Matt might come out with a second South Park movie. That'd be super exciting!

perhaps its because its one of the few funny things on comedy central. Theres so much unfunny garbage on there, like madtv, and all of the other shit that caters to the blue collar comedy crowd.

The South Park movie was subversive genius at its finest.

The Simpsons movie, on the other hand, SUCKED.

Here's to three more great years. South Park has its highs and lows, but what can you expect from a show that's quite often put together from start to finish in less than a week. And when the show is *on*, it's the best thing on TV. I'll put up with a few crappy episodes here & there for the GREAT ones that always follow.

In the last couple of years, south park has been full of ADVERTISEMENT! they get paid by KFC, SONY, TOYOTA, NINTENDO, and did some free advertising for Hilton Hotel Chain in return for their Paris Hilton episode. It was all fun until like 4 years ago. Today these hounds just get paid like prostitutes to entertain us with commercials…. And what's the most lamentable part of the thing, that they try to make it appear as if it was a parody… please… whores, turn the red lights on…. And there has not been one excellent episode for like 2 years. It is over.

Congratulations. When my kids were younger I would not let them watch the show. But now they are adults, well I have to admit the show has real value. We watch the show then discuss the issues and laugh. Sometimes it is a little rough around the edges for my taste, but I get over it. The Tom Cruise/Travolta episode is my favorite.
