ANOTHER new Britney has leaked, Cold As Fire. Once again, this isn't awful, thankfully. But, it isn't a-ma-zing either.
This one and Gimme More are two lovely appetizers, but Britney's next single needs to be on a whole other level.
Sources close to Spears tell us that she does have those monster hits, especially some of the songs Ne-Yo wrote for her.
She needs another Toxic and we are eagerly waiting.
Until then, this is a very respectable way to start a comeback!

its not really that i'm surprised all her "comeback" songs suck, its just that, so far, i'm surprised by exactly how shiteous the production values are. is there nobody invested in cleaning this slop up a bit before its put out? i thought a lot of people were buttering their bread off her… somebody who knows what they're doing should be on production, cause this sounds very amateur. i mean, she couldn't ever sing or write music, but she was good at standing in the middle of a lot of talented producers. has she lost even that ability?

That was painful. I only made it through 1 minute. Those backup vocals are undeveloped and just as prevalent on the track as her lead vocals. It sounds awful. Gimme More is better by far.

Here's my view in a sea of views. The concept of the song will only get her so far, and that's as far as it will go. I'd love to tune in to her thought processes and see where they go. She's, at best, heading in a direction she is aware of but doesn't exactly know the outcome of said direction. At worse, she's lost. I'm an optimist so I'll say, she's saying something that she hopes will yield something in the subtext of this strange sea of word spewage. You can't base your reality on what you don't show…or am I missing the point?
