Britney's new single, Gimme More, has finally dropped!!!!

It's not bad. It's not amazing. But it is very good, considering our girl's a little rusty.

We're kinda welling up with tears. There's still room for improvement, but this is a very good start!!!

OK, professionally, here's what I noted :

Her voice has been auto-tuned.
It's got a good commercial minimal electro backing.
The bizarre rap by Danja is strange and unneccessary.
Danja produced Sexyback, y'all. Start your conspiracy theories.
The chorus has a good "pop" which brings the lyric forward.
Personally, I would have added maybe 2 additional tracks of orchestration to give it a bit of a richer feel.

We won't get to see how the ladies did until the fall, but today in Austin, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato took their seats as the new judges on The X Factor. Someone had the foresight of smuggling in a recording device to the Texas auditions and we've got the audio from the ladies' first critique!

And you know what? They sound like old pros!
