Still Dead

The Wall Street Journal ran this article about Perez Hilton's "fake news" on their front cover today.

The only thing "fake" is that essay that was allegedly written by Castro about Clinton and Obama. Or any old video footage of him that may be released in the future, claiming to be "new."

You know what?

We still stand by our reporting 110%. Our (government) sources were/are impeccable on this story.

Fidel Castro is dead!

We would LOVE for the Cuban government to prove us wrong, but they won't. The only way to without a doubt verify that Fidel is still alive is for him to go for a nice stroll around Havana. But it's not going to happen! NOT going to happen!

Perez, I believe you 100%. They're not announcing it because Raul Castro's hold on the presidency is fragile and in trouble of being overthrown. Announcing Fidel's death will create riots and rebellion. I think they can continue this deception for a long time. The Cuban government would have lots of reasons to want to make people continue to believe that Castro is still alive. Maybe the Cubans would all go crazy thinking that they may have some freedom and the government wouldn't be able to get them under control. Maybe the government is afraid that it would leave them vulnerable to outside governments (particularly the US) offering assistance if they change over to a democracy.

My only reason to doubt Castro's death is that the US would have intelligence to know whether he was really dead or not, wouldn't they? If they did know, you would think they would be all over it.

Being of Cuban decent does not mean you automatically know about Cuban history. That is something you need to learn on your own.
It's one thing to be of Cuban decent and it's another thing to educate yourself about your history.
Further, why does everyone care so much about Fidel's death? If you don't live there it's not going to effect you one way or another.

Finally, his death will be a sad day for Cuba for the simple fact that it won't take long before the US gets involved and tries making it a "democracy". When the only thing that will help the people of Cuba is for the US to lift the embargo. That is the cause of poverty.
