Barbara Walters announced on The View this morning that they would be announcing a second new co-host on Monday (September 10th).

Speculation has been that the new addition would be actress Sherri Shepard, but she reportedly was holding out for more money.

Were they able to come to an agreement or has Babs picked someone else? We'll find out on Monday!

I’m sure Babs likes the set and no one is brave enough to say it’s ugly and old, but it’s not even cool old (as in retro) it’s bad old (as in tired). Of course Live with Regis and Kelly have has an ugly set for twenty years and they’re still going strong. Maybe a cool set isn’t important? Hopefully the new person will be intelligent, articulate and funny - which would eliminate any future Elisabitch clones. Once Barbara gets the fourth cohost, she will not be on the show so often. ALSO - if you had actually seen the show, you would know that Whoppi was not defending Michael Vick. She was trying to get people to look at what might have created the problem and point out what might be required to make it a completely unacceptable type of behavior. She was offering another view…just what I think she is being paid to do! I still miss Rosie and I agree the set is not the best they've had. They DON'T need another comedian. What they need is someone of substance, who can offer intelligent conversation on hot topics. We won't get to see how the ladies did until the fall, but today in Austin, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato took their seats as the new judges on The X Factor. Someone had the foresight of smuggling in a recording device to the Texas auditions and we've got the audio from the ladies' first critique!
