Matrix co-director Larry Wachowski has finally transitioned to a woman. He is reportedly refered to as Lana now.

Lana is expected to speak to the press about her transitioning.

Bravo! Hopefully Wachowski will use this opportunity to create more trans awareness!

I'm all for gay awareness and empowerment and stuff, but transexualism isn't a beautiful thing to promote, there is a reason why we are born a girl or a boy, and people who can't accept their identity have a serious problem that has nothing to do with their sexual preferences.

      That is amazing. As a close friend of a TS, I know how hard it is for them to feel accepted in public places. My friend hates going to restaurants and other public places for fear of being laughed at. She only stays inside the gay friendly community she lives in and is still encounters people who point and giggle. She's a beautiful person, outside and in, just as many TS people are.

      One of DHs groomsmen 21 years ago is undergoing gender reassignment. It has been a long road and it is just sad that people are so quick to judge and have no clue what they are talking about in doing it. You can tell Michelle is so much happier now than when she was a man.

      BTW… for those that will say she is not a woman, her birth certificate will officially say otherwise when the surgery is complete. Also, no insurance covers this and boy, the cost is outrageous, AND, the IRS will not allow them to use it as uncovered medical expenses, so it is money totally out of pocket.

      Insurance doesn't cover it because it is cosmetic only. DNA doesn't change, only appearance does. I know a man that had "reassignment" surgery to appear to look like a woman. Pre-op he still managed to get his wife pregnant. So, he might call himself by a woman's name, but he still FATHERED a child. He ultimately divorced his wife to bed down men. Oh, and he told her to tell their son that he was dead.
