Perez, why don't you start your own label and sign these "unsigned" talents?? P.S I saw Brand and Angelina last night at the Toronto Inter. Film Fest. the hype outside the Elgin theatre was ridiculous as they shutdown the whole street. Brad and Ang were the best stars as they just dind't get out of their Audi and enter the theatre but they actually walked all the way down the street and back up to the theatre shaking hands with fans. Also some little girl got a little crushed against a barricade and 20 minutes later someone with a headset on was searching the crowd for her (probably at the request of brad and ang) P.S Matt Damon got out of his car and walked right in - the back of his head looked ok stooopid Matt Damon (ala Team America)
It's so obvious this site and Perez Hilton get paid to say they like certain music or artists - has anyone realized that yet. This is nothing but a paid site, bought and paid for by the entertainment industry. The Perez that started out is no longer the Perez you see here.

Delurking here to say that while I absolutely do not "jump on the bandwagon" of Perez's music recommendations (his ravings for Mika, Britney, and Kylie being just a few of the reasons why), I had iTunes open when I read the recommendation on Eric Hutchinson. So I clicked through a few links and played through both his albums…and bought them on the spot. Then I followed a few more iTunes links recommending other artists based on the E Hutch purchase, and came away with 2 albums by Matt Nathanson and some singles by sara bareilles. Meiko, I'm still not loving full on yet, but we'll see.
That's the way the cookie crumbles, folks. One celebrity endorsement can kick start a career–anyone remember Oprah and James Blunt? One endorsement can start the buzz, and once the sales begin, the whole process can have a snowball effect. This is a GOOD thing, especially if you make your living in a creative/artistic arena. It's awesome, and good on the performer and endorser both.
