I gotta say that was the most unlively Britney performance Ive ever seen..Remember the Onyx tour? What happened to that Britney Spears…It wasn't even up to 'rehersal' standard. And that was the VMAS! ok, yes the performance was shitty…. it cannot be helped. Her appearance ws not that of a performer, but of an everyday person. She really should have cancelled. She is a performer. and with that comes responsibility. The responsibility of doing your best and giving it you all to those who help to pay your check (us, we buy your stuff to keep you popular and make more stuff). But i also enjoy how Perez keeps pointing out that Brittany is still indeed a mommy. And in the real world, when you become a mommy, your night life dies. Britney's performance was the worst ever! I'm so disappointed and angry too. Here is a girl who has million$ and WAS the princess of pop. Celebrities don't have it hard y’all, and I'm sick of hearing about the pressures of “stardom”. When things get “tough” they're off to their million dollar beach resorts. COME DO MY JOB then you'll know pressure - struggling to feed your kids, day care, bill collectors, debt out the ass! You don't know "hard" Britney! You really should be ashamed. All you had to do was cover up some of the bulge and leave the audience wanting more, punch up the choreography (because it was really weak!), give us a kick-ass performance for what? 4 minutes? then get off the stage and collect your paycheck. My daughter could dance better – shame on you, Britney! Really! There are no excuses. And if you’re going to party for 3 days straight (as been reported), at least give yourself a solid 24-48 hours time to sober up before you face your fans (what few are left). I won’t buy anything with your face on it again because I refuse to support your million dollar bank account by buying into your shit. Get your life together and stop whining!

The dance took me back to 1st grade when I would count to eight in my head, to make sure each step was right. I wonder what it would have been like to be high counting to eight in my head, with my memory only up to a first grade level — maybe it would have looked like the RIDONKULOUS PERFOMANCE BY BRIT BRIT.

Ok, while I will admit that her performance looked like she was stoned, couldn't remember her lines or her dance moves, and utterly was an embarassment to the MTV awards and the profession, we shouldn't give her such a hard time about her body. Being curvy as she is now, is not a bad thing. YES she should have covered herself up and wore more body appropriate attire, sending out the message that she is fat is a really bad message. I myself am a size 1, but only 5'2" and love being thin, naturally. But really, at least she wasn't in that outfit lookin like Kristie Alley… then ok, talk some serious shit. it was the worse performance i have ever seen and i was a huge britney fan!! britney would have been better off, if she had not performed and even cancelled out at the last minute! she looked like a complete mess! her hair and her outfit were disgusting! she probably would not be labeled as fat in our society, but i guess in "hollywood" she looked fat.. she needs to clean up her life and work extremely hard for when her album debuts! by the way sunday's performance went, i don't think she has much of a career anymore.. she had one shot and she blew it! she knew this performance had to be amazing, but she messed up once again! she needs some serious help!!!

Britney Spears is a great performer. That brief sentence about covers the extent of her vast resevoir of Jived, MTV approved, Disney-bred talent. Britney apparently has spent the last nine years thinking she can sing and that she works with great musicians. Obviously she felt her lip-synching and single that sounds the same as every other single she's ever put out, were going to cut it. It makes you wonder how many people she's had kissing her but trying not to hurt her feelings. You wonder if she's gone around confusing herself for an artist and not a slickly produced performer.
All that aside nothing excuses laziness and unprofessionalism. Britney go back to rehab, call your mama, stop eating cheetos (and maybe all carbs for that matter. You're abs used to make me cry out, now I just want to cry) and maybe pay attention to those children you were so excited to have. It's over. And after that apathetic performance I don't think I can get interested enough in watching this swan song to keep fueling the paparazzi blitz that's kept you going.

Very sad performance. I actually felt sorry for her and cringed a couple of times. It looked to me like she a) didn't rehearse enough, b) didn't know what her song was about, c) didn't *know* her song, d) was on something (booze? drugs? …).
