Insurance was the main problem, and the stage couldn't support the performance. MTV also freaked at the last minute because of their fear of being "too controversial" during the performance. Britney and Chris were infact furious with MTV's sad excuse and told Britney to change the performance at the last minute.

I have never been a fan of BS. I did, however, think she was one of the best performers of our generation. I was excited to watch tonight expecting that Brit would take this much needed opportunity to show everyone she is not the hot mess that the tabloids and Perez have made her out to be and really turn it out. It looked to me like something went wrong at the beginning of the dance performance and Brit was a little off step, but it picked up toward the end. She really doesn't look fat, but she's certainly not as perfectly toned as a few years go. And the song is GREAT. I got a lot of enjoyment out of it and keep watching it again and again, albeit somewhat to analyze the trainwreck aspect of it.
