I totally agree w/ everything you said Perez! I at one point in time did appreciate Britneys talent and all the effort she used to put into her performances and her music..she used to dance so intensely and sing so well. Last nights performance was an embarrasment to all her fans, MTV and other artists. I saw the look in everyones face, sheer humiliation. Applause out of pity and smile for the cameras. She didnt dance, she didnt even lip-snyc right…she was so confused. I dont know why she even did this to herself. Her hair looked so greasy and dirty, her nails were falling off, she has an orange fake tan, she's in good shape for 2 kids but not well enough off to wear that type of an outfit. Everyone already thinks she's a whore, and she goes on stage dressed like that w/ a bunch of strippers while she grabs some guys dick?? It just doesnt make sense…I dont know who her manager is, but he/she needs to retire. i watched the awards last night, i was hoping for a suprise from britney…i thought that it was going to be her big "comeback" moment, to proove us all wrong for thinking badly of her. But really, she did a horrible job. i think she should END her pop singing days, take some ownership of her life, and dedicate herself to being a good mother, and a good person. I can't imagine how her life must be, but i do hope she turns it around.

This performance must be the worst ever in the history of VMAs, next to Paula Abdul's "Vibeology". I have never believed Britney's talented AT ALL. When in her prime, she could dance a little and she was sexy + hot. Now everything is gone…This looked like a lame-ass amateur performance of some high-school talent show - a bad one.

If you want to survive in the entertainment industry, you have to have thick skin. Britney Spears has no self-respect. She is an uneducated, self-entitled brat who has no regard for her children or her family. She may be bipolar or just plain manic, but she also has access to decent healthcare and could find some discipline, take her meds and calm the hell down. I applaude Britney for being brave enough to perform despite all the personal problems she has gone through. She didn't do the best, but at least she tried and that's the first step towards improvement. She's human after all. All of us had our failures, but the the good ones get up and keep on trying. I have given this A LOT of thought. I was also very disappointed last night. I did, however, pity her more than anything. Something was obviously tormenting her and as a HUMAN BEING, I felt sorry for her.
I like Sarah Silverman's dry sense of humor, but the fact that she made fun of Britney's kids…especially when she was ordered not to, is unbelievable. Making fun of babies who could not even begin to defend themselves and who have no control over their parents' actions is despicable.

Okay, the bottom line is, Britney has done hundreds, maybe thousands of performances. In her prime she consistently put on amazing shows that went off without a hitch. Do you honestly think that back then she never, ever had anything dramatic happen before a show or had something on her mind that was making it hard for her to "get into it"? Without a doubt, she did. But did it stop her from doing her job and doing it well? No. She has enough experience as a performer to be held accountable for her lack of professionalism. She gets paid (whether directly or indirectly through record sales, etc.) to put on an amazing show. It's her job. It doesn't matter what kind of personal problems she happens to be experiencing before her show. She is a professional performer, and she knows that you don't let that show when you're on stage.
