Hold up one second, Perez why do you flip flop so effing much? one minute you hate on her and the next you kiss her ass. choose a side and stick with it. I will be honest, part of me expected to see Britney teetering on the stage with a lopsided wig and crack sprinkles on her face but another part of me rooted for her and I know she could do it so there HAS to be a good reason for why stuff went down the way it did. According to other sources there were issues with her planned performance with Criss Angel and it was cancelled at the last minute. And to add to that she supposedly heard about Sarah Silverman's completely horrendous jokes about her kids. Brit didn't even want to go on so maybe that explains why she was so unenthusiastic and underprepared. The bottom line is that Britney is a human being and she should be treated like one at least, and the jokes about the kids? too cruel. It's so easy for people to harshly criticize when they don't even know the half.

She knows she sucked and was obviously drunk and/or high and nervous. She is human you guys and I'm sure she is having a bad one right now and drowning her sorrows in booze and drugs.
The people that still give her props even when she's obviously a mess are the reason why she'll never get the wake-up call she needs to really get her act together. No, I'm not a fan but you can't deny she used to be a really good performer - what a disaster!

My vote goes to PS#3… This was hands down the WORST awards show I've ever seen. The entire event seemed like a glorified & sponsored free-for-all idiot-fest.
The only savings grace was the ridiculously good dancing by Chris Brown and the final performance by Nelly F, Justin, and Timb. I can understand why people liked the Alicia Keys performance, but I'm not really a big fan… I think I would have liked it better, but it seemed a little too "over the edge"/commercial for my taste.

Perhaps this why Britney looked upset during her performance. Britney was seen backstage in Alli's arms crying about how cruel people can be to her babies.

I have been a Britney Spears fan since day one. Even after all the meltdown episodes that have happened within the past year I was still going to stand by her. WHAT THE HELL. I was so prepared to watch this performance. I can deal with the outfit. I can deal with her weight. I can deal with the lipsyncing. But, come on, this was Britney's time to say "Go to hell" to all the haters and what did she do? She came on stage like she was bored and looked as though she was trying to remember the choreagraphy. Who cares what Sarah Silverman said…..you go out there and KICK ASS. OWN THAT SHOW FOR THE 4 OR 5 MINUTES YOU ARE OUT THERE. I think Britney needs to go back to the school of Madonna!!!
