One of the most falsely reported accusations is that Britney overheard that comedian Sarah Silverman was going to make fun of her two kids - calling them "beautiful mistakes" - which apparently enraged her.

Not true, Silverman's rep, Lewis Kay, tells PerezHilton.com.
"Sarah did nothing but react to Britney's actions in a comical way, which is what she was asked to do," Silverman's publicist tells us.
Additionally, production sources confirm to PerezHilton.com that no one knew Sarah's material before she performed it. "There was no MTV script approval," says a show insider. "The only person who knew what Sarah was going to say was Sarah. When she rehearse she even said, 'Joke. Joke. Joke. 50 Cent. Britney Spears. Etc.' And she only mentioned the names of the people that she was going to talk about. No one ever heard her material before it aired."
There is no way possible Britney or anyone in her camp ever knew what Sarah was going to talk about, sources tell us. It's an outright fabrication!
Also, as has been widely and falsely reported, no one from Britney's camp confronted Siverman after her fucking funny segment.

First, Britney was pathetic. No excuses except that she wasn't prepared. She's supposed to be a professional, but this was an amateur performance. She agreed to do it, no one forced her. When you put yourself out there, you'd better have it together. She didn't. Period.

You know I have never been a Britney Spears fan, but it's just sad. This girl is so lost. I feel bad for her. A lot of people are happy that she sucked last night. I wish she would get herself together. It's a damn shame to see someone fall apart. Why do people take pleasure in her failure? Does it make them feel better about their own shortcomings in life. MTV exploited Britney! There is no doubting that at all. They knew what they were doing when they asked her to open up the show. MTV knew that she was not 100% ready to perform. They set her up to fail!!!!!

Sarah Silverman is not a comedian. Comedians are supposed to be funny and Sarah Silverman is most definitely not. Sorry Sarah.. but calling two innocent children 'mistakes' isn't funny at all, darling. Obviously she just is in desperate need of publicity and can't think of anything else better then to diss young kids. Britney's performance was pure shit, she looked out of it and she looked as if she was trying to remember the dance steps half of the time during the performance. Britney, I was dissapointed in your performance and I'm obviously positive I'm not the only one. Despite the fact that Britney's been pretty pyscho lately, I still had hope for her in this come back performance. Well, that hopes definitely vanished now. Maybe, just maybe, performing isn't right for Britney anymore. It doesn't seem like she's into it, at least. I guess we can only wait and time will tell what move she makes next? I pretty much thought the VMA's sucked shit this year but Chris Brown and Alicia Keys put on a hell of a show! They made it worth the watch, love em'.

Silverman wasn't that funny. Some of her jokes were like insiders jokes and she had alot of flat time between her material. MTV could have used somebody else like George Lopez or Monique. Silverman was pretty lame.
One big question…..Where the hell is Brit Brit today????????? Where is the apology to her fans that were expecting her to bring it last night??? She at least owes them some type of explaination or apology.
And there is no way that MTV had not heard about what Brit Brit and the magician were planning….hell we knew about it, but they decide to pull it and cancel that at the last minute….bull crap…they knew exactly what they were doing….setting her up to look like the trash she is.
The performance was reminiscent of fucked-up people of the past-Janice Joplin, for one, was quite capable of belting out her practised bellows under the influence and it passed for emotion. I loved her voice but she rarely used it with her own soul-it was a composite of other blues singers. Brittany is a composite of Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Courtney Love as far as I can see. Would be nice if she would sing with her own soul. She's getting crazier.
First- this had to be a planned! This was worse than a bad Jane Fonda video from the 80's..her boots were those scrunchy socks…she wobled..the crazy bad hair weave..? I could have done those moves at 45..on TV just from taking dance classes at the gym…something is not right!. Personally we are doing what MTV and BRITT wants..and I don't think MTV set Britt up they are setting the general viewers up…

Controversy is what SELLS….sadly! We all love to fight with one another over who is "right" about this or that. Sarah knows this all too well and why she is booked and sells tickets. The saddest and most classless part is that she will throw ANYONE under the bus in order to get a rise out of people and stir up that proftable controversy…including people's innocent children, it turns out. She crossed the line here…absolutely, 100%, it was beyond tacky and hurtful to children who's only crime was being born, they never asked for an ounce of this shit. and just as i suspected, the entertainment shows are reporting the reason the whole Cris Angell factor never happened was because Britney was too much of a f-up basically to be able to manage pulling off the extensive choreography and stunts that would have been a part of Cris Angell's proposed performance for her. Brit Brit just couldn't get it together in time to actually pull off what they had been planning. Like that wasn't obvious to anyone. Cris probably realized it too, but hey it was an opportunity to get in her pants so what the hell was a few days of pretend playing with her.

Granted she wasn't ripped like she has been in the past performances, she was at least not stick thin and looks like she hasn't eaten in weeks.
